Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LHC. Measurement of the inclusive W+jets cross section in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass enrgy 7 TeV. The data, collected from March to August 2010 have an integrated luminosity of 1.3 pb-1, and have been corrected for all known detector effects and are quoted within limited and well defined ranges of jet and lepton kinematics. Jets were reconstructed using the anti-kT algoithm with radius parameter R = 0.4. The lepton energy is defined as the energy of the lepton after radiation plus the energy of all radiated photons within DeltaR=0.1 around the lepton. Additionally the distance from the lepton to the jet axis was required to have DeltaR=>0.5 and muons were isolated with DeltaR>0.2. Cross sections are presented, in both the electron and muon decay modes of the W, as a function of jet multiplicity and transverse momentum of both the leading and next-to-leading jets in the event. Where appropriate in the tables the second DSYS error is the luminosity uncertainty. Numerical values supplied by M Dunford.
