Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LHC. Measurements of the differential cross sections for muon and electron production in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. The muon cross section is measured as a function of its transverse momentum in the range 4<PT<100 GeV for |pseudorapidity| < 2.5. In addition both the electron and muon cross sections are measured for |pseudorapidity| < 2.0 excluding the range 1.37-1.52. The data were collected during April-August 2010 with the electron(muon) sample having integrated luminosity 1.28+-0.04(1.42+-0.05) pb 1. The muon cross section is also shown after subtraction of the W/Z/GAMMA* component. The first 3 tables are the cross sections presented numerically in the paper and the remainder of the tables are the numerical values of the muon cross sections show in the figures as provided by the authors.
