ALICE Measurement of charged particles differential transverse momentum correlation function, $\\Delta p_{\\rm T}\\Delta p_{\\rm T}$, in Pb-Pb collisions at $\\sqrt{s_{NN}}= 2.76$ TeV. The correlations are reported as a function of the relative pseudorapidity and azimuthal angle difference, $\\Delta\\varphi$. The $\\Delta\\varphi$ dependence is found to be largely independent of $\\Delta\\eta$ at $\\Delta\\eta > 0.9$. $\\Delta p_{\\rm T}\\Delta p_{\\rm T}$ exhibits a strong dependence on collision centrality that is qualitatively similar to that of number correlations, R2, previously reported. In 0-5% most central Pb--Pb collisions the two particle transverse momentum correlation function exhibits a cleartwo hump structure at the 'away-side', an indication of the dominance of triangular flow. Detailed comparison of R2 and $\\Delta p_{\\rm T}\\Delta p_{\\rm T}$ correlation functions utilizing Fourier decomposition show that the $\\Delta p_{\\rm T}\\Delta p_{\\rm T}$ correlations at $\\Delta\\eta > 0.9$ can be well reproduced by the flow ansatz, assuming that all the correlations are dominated by the anisotropic flow.","hasPart":[{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t1","@type":"Dataset","description":"Projection of $P_{2}$ along $\\Delta\\varphi$ in 0-5% centrality in the range $|\\Delta \\eta| \\geq$ 0.9","name":"Table 1"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t2","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{2}$ coefficients measured from $P_2$ for particle pairs in the range $0.2 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 0.9$.","name":"Table 2"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t3","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{2}$ coefficients measured from $P_2$ for particle pairs in the range $0.9 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 1.9$.","name":"Table 3"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t4","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{2}$ coefficients estimated from the flow ansatz in the range $0.2 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 0.9$.","name":"Table 4"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t5","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{2}$ coefficients estimated from the flow ansatz in the range $0.9 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 1.9$.","name":"Table 5"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t6","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{3}$ coefficients measured from $P_2$ for particle pairs in the range $0.2 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 0.9$.","name":"Table 6"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t7","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{3}$ coefficients measured from $P_2$ for particle pairs in the range $0.9 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 1.9$.","name":"Table 7"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t8","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{3}$ coefficients estimatEd from the flow ansatz in the range $0.2 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 0.9$.","name":"Table 8"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t9","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{3}$ coefficients estimatEd from the flow ansatz in the range $0.9 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 1.9$.","name":"Table 9"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t10","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{4}$ coefficients measured from $P_2$ for particle pairs in the range $0.2 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 0.9$.","name":"Table 10"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t11","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{4}$ coefficients measured from $P_2$ for particle pairs in the range $0.9 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 1.9$.","name":"Table 11"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t12","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{4}$ coefficients estimatEd from the flow ansatz in the range $0.2 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 0.9$.","name":"Table 12"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t13","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{4}$ coefficients estimatEd from the flow ansatz in the range $0.9 \\leq |\\Delta\\eta| \\leq 1.9$.","name":"Table 13"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t14","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{2}[P_2]$ coefficients vs pair separation in pseudorapidity in 0-5% centrality.","name":"Table 14"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t15","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{2}[R_2]$ coefficients vs pair separation in pseudorapidity in 0-5% centrality.","name":"Table 15"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t16","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{3}[P_2]$ coefficients vs pair separation in pseudorapidity in 0-5% centrality.","name":"Table 16"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t17","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{3}[R_2]$ coefficients vs pair separation in pseudorapidity in 0-5% centrality.","name":"Table 17"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t18","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{4}[P_2]$ coefficients vs pair separation in pseudorapidity in 0-5% centrality.","name":"Table 18"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.78231.v1/t19","@type":"Dataset","description":"$v_{4}[R_2]$ coefficients vs pair separation in pseudorapidity in 0-5% centrality.","name":"Table 19"}],"identifier":[{"@type":"PropertyValue","propertyID":"HEPDataRecord","value":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/ins1512772?version=1"},{"@type":"PropertyValue","propertyID":"HEPDataRecordAlt","value":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/78231"}],"inLanguage":"en","name":"Flow dominance and factorization of transverse momentum correlations in Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC","provider":{"@type":"Organization","name":"HEPData"},"publisher":{"@type":"Organization","name":"HEPData"},"url":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/ins1512772?version=1","version":1}
