Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LHC. Measurements of fiducial and differential cross sections of Higgs boson production in the H->ZZ*->4l channel in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV with 20.3 fb^-1 of data collected in 2012. The final states used are 4 electrons, 4 muons, 2 electrons and 2 muons. The 4l channel fiducial region is defined as: - 4e, 4mu or 2e2mu - ptElectron > 7 GeV, ptMuon > 6 GeV - |etaElectron| < 2.47, |etaMuon| < 2.7 - Ambiguities in pairing are resolved by choosing as the leading same flavor opposite sign pair m12 the one that minimizes |mll - mZ|, and as the second leading pair m34 the remaining one that minimizes |mll - mZ| - at least one lepton with each 20, 15, 10 GeV - mass requirements 50 GeV < m12 < 106 GeV, 12 GeV < m34 < 115 GeV - min(DeltaR(l,l)) > 0.1 (0.2) for same flavor (opposite flavor) lepton pairs - Jpsi veto: mll > 5 GeV for all same flavor opposite sign pairs - m4l requirement: 118 GeV < m4l < 129 GeV
