Abstract (data abstract)
CERN LHC. A search for the electroweak (EW) production of two Z bosons in association with 2 jets (j) and constraints on anomalous quartic gauge couplings are presented. The analysis is based on a data sample of proton-proton collisions at √s= 13 TeV collected with the CMS detector in 2016-2018 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137.1 fb−1. The search is performed in the fully leptonic final state where the two Z bosons decay to either a pair of electrons or a pair of muons. The inclusive fiducial region is defined as: pt(l) > 20,10,5,5 GeV, |eta(l)|< 2.5 60 < m(ll)< 120 GeV, m(4l)>180 GeV pT(j) > 30 GeV, |eta(j)| < 4.7 m(jj) > 100 GeV and DeltaR(l,j)>0.4. The VBS-enriched loose selection additionally requires: m(jj) > 400 GeV and DeltaEta(jj)>2.4. The VBS-enriched tight selection additionally requires: m(jj) > 1 TeV and DeltaEta(jj)>2.4.
