Abstract (data abstract)
CERN LHC. Measurements of the PT-differential production cross sections of prompt charmed mesons (D0,D+ and D*+) frp, proton-proton interactions at a centre-of-mass energy of 2.76 TeV. The data, which covers the |rapidity| region < 0.5 and PT from 1-12 GeV/c, uses a data sample of integrated luminosity 1.1 nb-1 collected during in 2011 with a minimum-bias trigger. The total charm cross section is determined by extrapolating to full phase space the PT distributions from this data at 2.76 TeV and previous ALICE measurements at 7 TeV.
