Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LHC. Measurement of charged particle pseudorapidity density in proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass 7 TeV for 5.3 < |pseudorapidity| < 6.4 in events with at least one charged particle with pT above 40 MeV. The measurement refers to more than 99% of non-diffractive processes and to single and double diffractive processes with diffractive masses above ~3.4 GeV. The sample used in the measurement consist of 150,000 pp collisions recorded in May 2011 during a low-pileup run at standard optics.
