Search for Heavy Neutrinos and $W_R$ Bosons with Right-Handed Couplings in a Left-Right Symmetric Model in pp Collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV

Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LHC. Study of events with a final state consisting of two muons and two jets produced in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV using a data sample having an integrated luminosity of 5.0 fb-1. The data are analysed in terms of a search for heavy, right-handed muon neutrinos and right-handed W_R bosons which arise in the left-right symmetric extensions of the standard model. The table gives the observed and expected 95% confidence level exclusion limits on the W_R production cross section (times is branching ratio to two muons and two jets) as a function of the masses of the W_R and the heavy neutrino.
