Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-NA. Spin-averaged asymmetries in the azimuthal distributions of positive and negative hadrons produced in deep inelastic scattering were measured using the CERN SPS muon beam at 160 GeV and a Li6D target during 2004. The amplitudes of the three azimuthal modulations COS(PHI(HADRON)), COS(2*PHI(HADRON)) and SIN(PHI(HADRON)), ASYMUU(COS(PHI(HADRON))), ASYMUU(COS(2*PHI(HADRON))) and ASYMUU(SIN(PHI(HADRON))) respectively, were obtained by binning the data separately in each of the relevant kinematic variables XB, Z or PT(HADRON) and binning in a three-dimensional grid of these three variables.
