Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LHC. A search for new phenomena in LHC proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt(s)= 8 TeV was performed with the ATLAS detector using an integrated luminosity of 17.3 fb^{-1}. The angular distributions are studied in events with at least two jets; the highest dijet mass observed is 5.5 TeV. Definitions: The (sub)leading jet is the jet with the (second) highest transverse momentum, pT, in the event, before any other event selection steps are taken. Poorly measured jets in two regions in the detector at eta = (0.0,0.8), phi = (4pi/32,5pi/32) and eta = (-0.8,0.0), phi = (15pi/32,16pi/32) respectively. Events are discarded if either of the two leading jets, or any other jet with pT > 0.3*(pT_subleading), fall into these regions.
