The analysis is based on data collected by the CMS experiment in proton-proton collisions at √s = 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9fb−1. The data are consistent with background ex- pectations, and upper limits at 95% confidence level on the product of the B quark cross section and the branching fraction are obtained in the range 1.28–0.07 pb, for a narrow B quark with a mass between 700 and 1800 GeV. The production of B quarks with widths of 10, 20 and 30% of the resonance mass is also considered, and the sen- sitivities obtained are similar to those achieved in the narrow width case. This is the first search at the CERN LHC for the single production of a B quark through its fully hadronic decay channel, and the first study considering finite resonance widths of the B quark.
@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t1","@type":"Dataset
Distribution in the reconstructed B quark mass after applying all selections to events with no forward jets and in the...
Table1"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t2","@type":"Dataset
Distribution in the reconstructed B quark mass after applying all selections to events with at least one forward jet and...
Table2"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t3","@type":"Dataset
Distribution in the reconstructed B quark mass after applying all selections to events with no forward jets and in the...
Table3"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t4","@type":"Dataset
Distribution in the reconstructed B quark mass after applying all selections to events with no forward jets and in the...
Table4"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t5","@type":"Dataset
Distribution in the reconstructed B quark mass after applying all selections to events with no forward jets and in the...
Table5"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t6","@type":"Dataset
Distribution in the reconstructed B quark mass after applying all selections to events with at least one forward jet and...
Table6"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t7","@type":"Dataset
Distribution in the reconstructed B quark mass after applying all selections to events with no forward jets and in the...
Table7"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t8","@type":"Dataset
Distribution in the reconstructed B quark mass after applying all selections to events with at least one forward jet and...
Table8"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t9","@type":"Dataset
The median observed and expected 95% CL upper limits on the product of the B quark production cross section and...
Table9"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t10","@type":"Dataset
The median observed and expected 95% CL upper limits on the product of the B quark production cross section and...
Table10"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t11","@type":"Dataset
The median observed and expected 95% CL upper limits on the product of the B quark production cross section and...
Table11"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t12","@type":"Dataset
The median observed and expected 95% CL upper limits on the product of the B quark production cross section and...
Table12"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t13","@type":"Dataset
Observed and expected fitted number of events in the signal ranges of 800 < mB < 1500, and expected signal...
Table13"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.82127.v1/t14","@type":"Dataset
Observed and expected fitted number of events in the signal ranges 1500 < mB < 1800 , and expected signal...
Table14
@type":"PropertyValue
HEPDataRecord
https://www.hepdata.net/record/ins1609848?version=1"},{"@type":"PropertyValue
Search for a singly produced vector-like quark B decaying to a b quark and a Higgs boson in a fully hadronic final state using boosted topologies
@type":"Organization
HEPData
@type":"Organization
