Differential production cross sections of prompt J/psi and psi(2S) charmonium and Y(nS) (n = 1, 2, 3) bottomonium states are measured in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 13 TeV, with data collected by the CMS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.3 fb^\u22121 for the J/psi and 2.7 fb^\u22121 for the other mesons. The five quarkonium states are reconstructed in the dimuon decay channel, for dimuon rapidity |y| < 1.2. The double-differential cross sections for each state are measured as a function of y and transverse momentum, and compared to theoretical expectations. In addition, ratios are presented of cross sections for prompt psi(2S) to J/psi, Y(2S) to Y(1S), and Y(3S) to Y(1S) production.\n\nThe tables below list the results of J/psi and psi(2S) differential cross section times dimuon branching fraction B in four rapidity bins for the unpolarized scenario, the unpolarized differential cross sections times B in the integrated rapidity range |y| < 1.2 with the corresponding scaling factors needed to obtain the cross sections for different polarization scenarios and the ratio of the psi(2S) to J/psi cross sections for the integrated rapidity range |y| < 1.2.","hasPart":[{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t1","@type":"Dataset","description":"Double-differential cross section times the dimuon branching fraction of the J/psi meson for different ranges of pT in bins of...","name":"Table 1"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t2","@type":"Dataset","description":"Double-differential cross section times the dimuon branching fraction of the psi(2S) meson for different ranges of pT in bins of...","name":"Table 2"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t3","@type":"Dataset","description":"Double-differential cross section times the dimuon branching fraction of the Y(1S) meson for different ranges of pT in bins of...","name":"Table 3"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t4","@type":"Dataset","description":"Double-differential cross section times the dimuon branching fraction of the Y(2S) meson for different ranges of pT in bins of...","name":"Table 4"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t5","@type":"Dataset","description":"Double-differential cross section times the dimuon branching fraction of the Y(3S) meson for different ranges of pT in bins of...","name":"Table 5"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t6","@type":"Dataset","description":"Multiplicative scaling factors to obtain the J/psi differential cross sections for different polarization scenarios (Lambda_{Theta} = +1, +0.10, -1) from...","name":"Table 6"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t7","@type":"Dataset","description":"Multiplicative scaling factors to obtain the psi(2S) differential cross sections for different polarization scenarios (Lambda_{Theta} = +1, +0.03, -1) from...","name":"Table 7"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t8","@type":"Dataset","description":"Multiplicative scaling factors to obtain the Y(1S) differential cross sections for different polarization scenarios (Lambda_{Theta} = +1, k, -1) from...","name":"Table 8"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t9","@type":"Dataset","description":"Multiplicative scaling factors to obtain the Y(2S) differential cross sections for different polarization scenarios (Lambda_{Theta} = +1, k, -1) from...","name":"Table 9"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t10","@type":"Dataset","description":"Multiplicative scaling factors to obtain the Y(3S) differential cross sections for different polarization scenarios (Lambda_{Theta} = +1, k, -1) from...","name":"Table 10"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t11","@type":"Dataset","description":"Ratio of differential cross section times branching fractions of the prompt psi(2S) to J/psi mesons assuming unpolarized productions as a...","name":"Table 11"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.85744.v1/t12","@type":"Dataset","description":"Ratios of differential cross section times branching fractions of the prompt Y(2S) to Y(1S) and Y(3S) to Y(1S) mesons assuming...","name":"Table 12"}],"identifier":[{"@type":"PropertyValue","propertyID":"HEPDataRecord","value":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/ins1633431?version=1"},{"@type":"PropertyValue","propertyID":"HEPDataRecordAlt","value":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/85744"}],"inLanguage":"en","name":"Measurement of quarkonium production cross sections in pp collisions at $\\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV","provider":{"@type":"Organization","name":"HEPData"},"publisher":{"@type":"Organization","name":"HEPData"},"url":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/ins1633431?version=1","version":1}
