Abstract (data abstract)
The kinematic variables describe the $\ell$+jets, where $\ell$ can be either a muon ($\mu$) or electron ($\rm{e}$), and the dilepton ($\rm{e}^\pm \mu^\mp$ or $\mu^\pm \mu^\mp$) decay channels. The measured cross sections are given per decay channel and for their combination. The fiducial region in the $\ell$+jets decay channel is defined as: - $\equiv$1$\rm{e}$($\mu$), $p_T$>35(25)GeV&&|$\eta$|<2.1 - including the transition 1.444<|$\eta$|<1.566 region in the $\rm{e}$+jets channel - no additional lepton with $p_T$>15GeV&&|$\eta$|<2.5 and $p_T$>10GeV&&|$\eta$|<2.5 in the $\mu$+jets and $\rm{e}$+jets channel, respectively - $\geq$2jets(anti-kt,R=0.4), $p_T$>25GeV&&|$\eta$|<2.4 - min($\Delta R(jet,\ell)$) > 0.3 - ambiguities in pairing the jj' are resolved by choosing the combination that results in the smaller value of the $\Delta R(j,j')$, where $\Delta R=\sqrt{ (\Delta \eta)^{2} + (\Delta \phi)^{2}}$ The acceptance is measured in the $\ell$+jets channel as: 0.301$\pm$0.007(tot) The fiducial region in the dilepton decay channel is defined as: - $\geq1\rm{e}$ or $\mu$ with $p_T$>20GeV&&|$\eta$|<2.4 and $p_T$>18GeV&&|$\eta$|<2.1, respectively - including the transition 1.444<|$\eta$|<1.566 region for electrons - $\geq$2jets(anti-kt,R=0.4), $p_T$>25GeV&&|$\eta$|<3.0 - min($\Delta R(jet,\ell)$) > 0.3 - $M_{\ell \ell}$ > 20 GeV - 76 <$M_{\ell \ell}$ < 106 GeV and $p_{\rm{T}}^{\rm{mss}}$>35 GeV only in the $\mu^\pm \mu^\mp$ channel - ambiguities in forming the candidate pair are resolved by selecting the two leptons of opposite charge that yield the highest scalar $p_T$ sum The acceptance is measured in the dilepton channel as: 0.53$\pm$0.01(tot) in the $\rm{e}^\pm \mu^\mp$ and 0.37$\pm$0.01(tot) in the $\mu^\pm \mu^\mp$ channel, respectively The efficiency is measured in the dilepton channel as: 0.55$\pm$0.02(tot) in the $\rm{e}^\pm \mu^\mp$ and 0.57$\pm$0.04(tot) in the $\mu^\pm \mu^\mp$ channel, respectively In both the $\ell$+jets and dilepton analyses, events with $\tau$ leptons are considered as signal if they decay to electrons or muons that satisfy the selection requirements, and are included in the simulation.
