Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LHC. Measurement of the production cross section of three isolated photons in pp collisions at 8 TeV with the ATLAS detector. The three photon production fiducial region is defined as: - ET(Photon1) > 27 GeV, ET(Photon2) > 22 GeV, ET(Photon3) > 15 GeV - M(Photon1,Photon2,Photon3) > 50 GeV - dR(Photon-Photon) > 0.45 - |Eta(Photon)| < 2.37 (excluding 1.37 < |Eta(Photon)| < 1.56) - Photon Isolation in DeltaR-Cone of 0.4: ETIso < 10 GeV. At particle level it is the sum of transverse energy from all particles, except for muons, neutrinos and the photon itself. At parton level it is the sum of energy from all coloured partons.
