Measurement of the cross section for electroweak production and\nconstraints on anomalous quartic couplings from events with a Z boson\nand a photon in association with two jets in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 13 TeV.\nThe Z boson candidates are selected through their decay into a pair of electrons or muons.\nThe process of interest, electroweak Z gamma jj production, is isolated by selecting\nevents with a large dijet mass and a large pseudorapidity gap between the two jets.\nThe measurement is based on data collected with the CMS detector in 2016 at a center-of-mass\nenergy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb\u22121.\nThe observed significance of the signal is 3.9 standard deviations, where a significance of\n5.2 standard deviations is expected in the standard model predictions.\nThe results are combined with previously published CMS results based on sqrt(s)=8 TeV data,\nwhich leads to an observed (expected) significance of 4.7 (5.5) standard deviations.\nThe measured value of the fiducial cross section for the signal is reported. \nBounds are given on quartic vector boson interactions in the framework of dimension-8\neffective field theory operators at 95% confidence level.\nThe fiducial region is defined as:\n- ptl&gt;20 GeV(25 GeV) &amp;&amp; |etaLepton|&lt;2.4(2.5) form muon(electron)\n- third lepton veto\n- 70 GeV &lt; Mll &lt; 110 GeV\n- photon pT&gt;20 GeV &amp;&amp; |etaPhoton|&lt;1.442 or (|etaPhoton|&gt;1.566 &amp;&amp; |etaPhoton|&lt;2.5) \n  for barrel and endcap\n- ptjet&gt;30 GeV &amp;&amp; |etaJet|&lt;4.7\n- Mjj &gt; 500 GeV &amp;&amp; |deltaetajj|&gt;2.5\n- DeltaR(l,photon)&gt;0.7 &amp;&amp; DeltaR(l,j)&gt;0.5 &amp;&amp; Delta(photon,j)&gt;0.5 &amp;&amp; DeltaR(j,j)&gt;0.5\n- leptons are dressed with photons whose DeltaR(l,photon)&lt;0.1\nSelections for aQGC limits are defined as:\n- ptl&gt;20 GeV(25 GeV) &amp;&amp; |etaLepton|&lt;2.4(2.5) form muon(electron)\n- third lepton veto\n- 70 GeV &lt; Mll &lt; 110 GeV\n- photon pT&gt; 100 GeV &amp;&amp; |etaPhoton|&lt;1.442 or (|etaPhoton|&gt;1.566 &amp;&amp; |etaPhoton|&lt;2.5) \n  for barrel and endcap\n- ptjet&gt;30 GeV &amp;&amp; |etaJet|&lt;4.7\n- Mjj &gt; 500 GeV &amp;&amp; |deltaetajj|&gt;2.5\n- DeltaR(l,photon)&gt;0.7 &amp;&amp; DeltaR(l,j)&gt;0.5 &amp;&amp; Delta(photon,j)&gt;0.5 &amp;&amp; DeltaR(j,j)&gt;0.5","hasPart":[{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.93069.v1/t1","@type":"Dataset","description":"The measured EWK Zgamma+2j fiducial cross section.
