{"@context":"http://schema.org","@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.95676.v2","@reverse":{"isBasedOn":[{"@type":"ScholarlyArticle","identifier":{"@type":"PropertyValue","propertyID":"URL","value":"https://inspirehep.net/literature/1789136"}}]},"@type":"Dataset","additionalType":"Collection","author":{"@type":"Organization","name":"CMS Collaboration"},"creator":{"@type":"Organization","name":"CMS Collaboration"},"datePublished":"2021","description":"The CP-violating weak phase $\\phi_{\\mathrm{s}}$ and the decay width \ndifference $\\Delta\\Gamma_{\\mathrm{s}}$ between the light and heavy \n$\\mathrm{B}^0_\\mathrm{s}$ mass eigenstates are measured with the CMS \ndetector at the LHC in a sample of $48\\,500$ reconstructed\n$\\mathrm{B}^0_\\mathrm{s}\\to\\mathrm{J /\\psi}\\,\\mathrm{\\phi(1020)} \\to \\mathrm{\\mu^+}\\mathrm{\\mu^-}\\,\\mathrm{K^+}\\mathrm{K^-}$ \nevents.\nThe measurement is based on a data sample corresponding to \nan integrated luminosity of $96.4\\,\\text{fb}^{-1}$, collected in \nproton-proton collisions at $\\sqrt{s} = 13\\,\\text{TeV}$ \nin 2017--2018.\nTo extract the values of $\\phi_{\\mathrm{s}}$ and \n$\\Delta\\Gamma_{\\mathrm{s}}$, a time-dependent and flavor-tagged \nangular analysis of the $\\mathrm{\\mu^+}\\mathrm{\\mu^-}\\mathrm{K^+}\\mathrm{K^-}$ \nfinal state is performed. The analysis employs a dedicated tagging \ntrigger and a novel opposite-side muon flavor tagger based on machine \nlearning techniques.\nThe measurement yields \n$\\phi_{\\mathrm{s}} = -11 \\pm 50\\,\\text{(stat)} \\pm 10\\,\\text{(syst)}\\,\\text{mrad}$ \nand \n$\\Delta\\Gamma_{\\mathrm{s}} = 0.114 \\pm 0.014\\,\\text{(stat)} \\pm 0.007\\,\\text{(syst)}\\,\\text{ps}^{-1}$, \nin agreement with the standard model predictions.\nWhen combined with the \nprevious CMS measurement at $\\sqrt{s} = 8\\,\\text{TeV}$, the following values are obtained:\n$\\phi_{\\mathrm{s}} = -21 \\pm 44\\,\\text{(stat)} \\pm 10\\,\\text{(syst)}\\,\\text{mrad}$, \n$\\Delta\\Gamma_{\\mathrm{s}} = 0.1032 \\pm 0.0095\\,\\text{(stat)} \\pm 0.0048\\,\\text{(syst)}\\,\\text{ps}^{-1}$, \na significant improvement over the 8 TeV result.","hasPart":[{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.95676.v2/t1","@type":"Dataset","description":"Results of the fit to the data at 13 TeV.
