Events are selected that contain single muon or electrons, and then subdivided into signal and control regions based on jet topology. Signal events must contain exactly 3 jets. a ttbar enriched region contains exactly 4 jets. A W+jets and QCD enriched region contains exactly 2 jets. In all three regions exactly one jet must pass b-tagging requirements.
