The data set was collected with the CMS experiment at the LHC between 2016 and 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb$^{-1}$. The analysis uses event categories targeting Higgs boson production via gluon fusion and vector boson fusion. The observed upper limit on the Higgs boson branching fraction to an electron pair is 3.0 $\\times$ 10$^{-4}$ (3.0 $\\times$ 10$^{-4}$ expected) at the 95% confidence level, which is the most stringent limit on this branching fraction to date.","hasPart":[{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.131539.v1/t1","@type":"Dataset","description":"Total expected number of signal events for $m_{H}=125.38$ GeV in analysis categories targeting ggH and VBF events, for an integrated...","name":"Expected analysis category yields"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.131539.v1/t2","@type":"Dataset","description":"Number of data events and the number of background events in the best-fit signal-plus-background model for the ggH Tag 0...","name":"Mass distribution for ggH Tag 0"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.131539.v1/t3","@type":"Dataset","description":"Number of data events and the number of background events in the best-fit signal-plus-background model for the ggH Tag 1...","name":"Mass distribution for ggH Tag 1"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.131539.v1/t4","@type":"Dataset","description":"Number of data events and the number of background events in the best-fit signal-plus-background model for the ggH Tag 2...","name":"Mass distribution for ggH Tag 2"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.131539.v1/t5","@type":"Dataset","description":"Number of data events and the number of background events in the best-fit signal-plus-background model for the ggH Tag 3...","name":"Mass distribution for ggH Tag 3"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.131539.v1/t6","@type":"Dataset","description":"Number of data events and the number of background events in the best-fit signal-plus-background model for the VBF Tag 0...","name":"Mass distribution for VBF Tag 0"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.131539.v1/t7","@type":"Dataset","description":"Number of data events and the number of background events in the best-fit signal-plus-background model for the VBF Tag 1...","name":"Mass distribution for VBF Tag 1"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.131539.v1/t8","@type":"Dataset","description":"Expected and observed limits at the 95%% C.L. on the branching fraction to an electron pair ($e^{+}e^{-}$) for a Higgs...","name":"Limit vs MH"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.131539.v1/t9","@type":"Dataset","description":"Expected and observed limits at the 95%% C.L. on the branching fraction to an electron pair ($e^{+}e^{-}$) for each analysis...","name":"Limit per analysis category"}],"identifier":[{"@type":"PropertyValue","propertyID":"HEPDataRecord","value":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/ins2129285?version=1"},{"@type":"PropertyValue","propertyID":"HEPDataRecordAlt","value":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/131539"}],"inLanguage":"en","name":"Search for the Higgs boson decay to a pair of electrons in proton-proton collisions at $\\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV","provider":{"@type":"Organization","name":"HEPData"},"publisher":{"@type":"Organization","name":"HEPData"},"url":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/ins2129285?version=1","version":1}
