New physics can affect both Higgs boson production and decay, leading to deviations from the distributions that are expected in the standard model. In this paper, combined measurements of differential spectra in a fiducial region matching the experimental selections are performed, based on analyses of four Higgs boson decay channels ($\u03b3\u03b3$, ZZ$^{(*)}$, WW$^{(*)}$, and $\u03c4\u03c4$) using proton-proton collision data recorded with the CMS detector at $\\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb$^{-1}$. The differential measurements are extrapolated to the full phase space and combined to provide the differential spectra. A measurement of the total Higgs boson production cross section is also performed using the $\u03b3\u03b3$ and ZZ decay channels, with a result of 53.4 $^{+2.9}_{-2.9}$ (stat) $^{+1.9}_{-1.8}$ (syst) pb, consistent with the standard model prediction of 55.6 $\\pm$ 2.5 pb. The fiducial measurements are used to compute limits on Higgs boson couplings using the $\u03ba$-framework and the SM effective field theory.","hasPart":[{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t1","@type":"Dataset","description":"Observed best fit differential cross section for the $p_{T}^{H}$ observable","name":"PT(H)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t2","@type":"Dataset","description":"Observed best fit differential cross section for the $N_{jets}$ observable","name":"NJETS"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t3","@type":"Dataset","description":"Observed best fit differential cross section for the $p_{T}^{j1}$ (GeV) observable","name":"PT(J1)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t4","@type":"Dataset","description":"Observed best fit differential cross section for the $|y_{H}|$ observable","name":"Y(H)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t5","@type":"Dataset","description":"Observed best fit differential cross section for the $m_{jj}$ (GeV) observable","name":"M(JJ)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t6","@type":"Dataset","description":"Observed best fit differential cross section for the $\\Delta\\eta_{jj}$ observable.","name":"DETA(JJ)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t7","@type":"Dataset","description":"Observed best fit differential cross section for the $\\tau_{C}^{j}$ (GeV) observable","name":"TAUCJ"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t8","@type":"Dataset","description":"Bin-to-bin correlation matrix for the $p_{T}^{H}$ spectrum","name":"Correlation matrix for smH_PTH"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t9","@type":"Dataset","description":"Bin-to-bin correlation matrix for the $N_{jets}$ spectrum","name":"Correlation matrix for Njets"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t10","@type":"Dataset","description":"Bin-to-bin correlation matrix for the $p_{T}^{j0}$ spectrum","name":"Correlation matrix for smH_PTJ0"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t11","@type":"Dataset","description":"Bin-to-bin correlation matrix for the $|y_{H}|$ spectrum","name":"Correlation matrix for yH"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t12","@type":"Dataset","description":"Bin-to-bin correlation matrix for the $m_{jj}$ spectrum","name":"Correlation matrix for mjj"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t13","@type":"Dataset","description":"Bin-to-bin correlation matrix for the $\\Delta\\eta_{jj}$ spectrum","name":"Correlation matrix for DEtajj"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t14","@type":"Dataset","description":"Bin-to-bin correlation matrix for the $\\tau_{C}^{j}$ spectrum","name":"Correlation matrix for TauCJ"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t15","@type":"Dataset","description":"Rotation matrix for the PCA of the SMEFT Wilson coefficients","name":"PCA rotation matrix"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t16","@type":"Dataset","description":"Correlation matrix of the linear combinations of Wilson coefficients obtained from the PCA, obtained by fitting the observed data to...","name":"Correlation matrix for eigenvectors"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.156816.v1/t17","@type":"Dataset","description":"Summary of observed and expected confidence intervals for the first eigenvectors obtained from the PCA of the SMEFT Wilson coefficients.","name":"Eigenvectors fitted values"}],"identifier":[{"@type":"PropertyValue","propertyID":"HEPDataRecord","value":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/ins2913615?version=1"},{"@type":"PropertyValue","propertyID":"HEPDataRecordAlt","value":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/156816"}],"inLanguage":"en","name":"Combination and interpretation of differential Higgs boson production cross sections in proton-proton collisions at $\\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV","provider":{"@type":"Organization","name":"HEPData"},"publisher":{"@type":"Organization","name":"HEPData"},"url":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/ins2913615?version=1","version":1}
