Abstract (data abstract)
FNAL-TEV. E791 Collaboration. Study of asymmetries between the production of D+ and D- mesons from 500 GeV/c PI- - nucleon interaction as function of X and PT**2. Neither NLO QCD nor Vogt-Brodsky model nor default PYTHIA prediction does not describe the data, but agreement have been restored for & apos;tuned& apos; PYTHIA when C-quark mass was increased to 1.7 GeV, and average parton PT**2 increased to 1.0 Gev**2 (see paper). Numerical values supplied by Tom Carter.

Data from F 2

Asymmetry parameter A = (SIG(D-)-SIG(D+))/(SIG(D+)+SIG(D-)) have been studied as function of Feynman variable X. 'Nucleus' are PT and C.
