Dijet production in photon-photon collisions at $S^{(1/2)}$ (ee) = 161-GeV and 172-GeV

Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LEP. Measurement of 2-jet production in photon-photon collisions at centre-of mass energies of the incoming electron beams of 161 and 172 GeV.. X(C=GAMMA), which specifies the fraction of the photon& apos;s momentum participating in the hard scattering, and is used in the paper to identify & apos;direct& apos; and & apos;double-resolved& apos; events, is defined as: X(C=GAMMA)+=SUM_jets(E+Pz)/SUM_hads(E+Pz) and X(C=GAMMA)-=SUM_jets(E-Pz)/SUM_hads(E-Pz) where the summations are over the two jets and hadrons. In the tables X(C=GAMMA)+- implies that both X(C=GAMMA)s satisfy the limits.. The jet shape PSI is characterised by the fraction of the jet& apos;s transverse energy that lies inside and inner cone of radius R, concentric with the jet defining cone.. The numerical values of figure 4,5 and 7 are taken from the hztool routine hzc98113.
