Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LEP. Measurement of cross section distributions of di-jet production in quasi-real photon-photon interactions from E+ E- collisions at centre of mass energies form 189 to 209 GeV. Jets are reconstructed using an inclusive KT clustering algorithm. Cross sections are presented as a function of the mean ET of the two leading jets, and as a function of X(C=GAMMA) the estimated fraction of the photon momentum carried by the parton. Angular distributions and distributionsin jet pseudorapidity are also presented. See the details of the paper for mor edefinitions of the variables. The data have a total luminosity of 593 pb-1.. The column headed & apos;MIA Fraction& apos; gives the contribution to the cross section from multiple interactions (and its associated statistical uncertainty from the size of the Monte Carlo samplesw used) estimated by comparing the prediction of PYTHIA with and without including multiple interactions.. The last column in each table lists the average hadronization corrections of (HERWIG+PYTHIA)/2 and the associated model dependent uncertainites.. The numerical details were supplied by Thorsten Wengler.
