Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LEP. Measurement of the cross section for hadron production in double-tagged photon-photon events with photons of virtuality Q**2 between 10 and 200 GeV**2. The data were collected during the 1998-2000 LEP2 running period with incident colliding E+ E- beam centre of mass energies from 189 to 209 GeV and have an integrated luminosity of 550 pb-1. Cross sections for double-tagged photons to MU+ MU- are also measured and found to agree with QED predictions.. Data are presented as a function of the dimensionless variable.. Y = LN(W**2/SQRT((Q1**2)*(Q2**2))) where W is the mass of the two photon system and Q1 and Q2 are the virtualities of the individual photons.. Numerical values for figure 5 supplied by J. Timmermans.
