Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LHC. Measurement of the differential cross sections for the inclusive production of isolated prompt photons in proton-proton collisions at a centre of mass energy of 7 TeV. The data sample, collected during the 2010 running period, has a total integrated luminosity of 36 pb-1. The measurement covers the |eta| range < 2.5 and ET range 25-400 GeV which corresponds to an XT range of 0.007-0.114. The measurement uses two complimentary methods, one based on photon conversions in the silicon tracker and the other on isolated energy details in the elctromagnetic calorimeter. The isolation criteria is based on a cone in eta-phi space, after removing the photon candidate, of radius R = 0.4. The cross section is presented as a function of ET in four pseudorapidity regions.
