Search for Narrow Resonances in $e^+ e^-$ Annihilation at c.m. Energies Between 29.90-{GeV} and 31.46-{GeV}

The JADE collaboration Bartel, W. ; Cords, D. ; Dittmann, P. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 91 (1980) 152-154, 1980.
Inspire Record 152290 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27258

A search for narrow resonances in e + e − annihilation at c.m. energies between 29.90 and 31.46 GeV provides no evidence for the existence of such states. The 90% confidence upper limit on the integrated resonance cross section is 38 nb MeV, significantly below the value expected for the lowest (t,t̄) bound state.

New results on the inclusive and semi-inclusive production of π + mesons and protons in the whole phase space are given for about 2.2 · 10 4 inelastic p p interactions at 22.4 GeV/ c . A method of statistical separation for spectra of particles of the same charge which are produced in CP -symmetrical reactions is discussed in detail. Experimental data are compared with quark-parton model predictions.

NEUTRAL STRANGE PARTICLE PRODUCTION IN PI- P INTERACTIONS AT 16-GEV/C

Nucl.Phys.B 163 (1980) 21-45, 1980.
Inspire Record 157169 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.8077

The production of K S 0 , Λ and Λ in π − p ractions at 16 GeV/ c is investigated. Cross sections for single strange particles are determined, both inclusively and as functions of the charged multiplicity. Some characteristics of the multiplicity distributions are also discussed. Inclusive distributions are studied as a function of the longitudinal and transverse variables of V 0 and the missing mass squared. The average charged multiplicities of the systems recoiling against the Λ and K S 0 are presented.

Measurement of the Spin Correlation Parameters a(00kk), a(00ks) and a(00ss) in the p p Elastic Scattering Between 400-MeV and 600-MeV

Aprile, E. ; Hausammann, R. ; Heer, E. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 28 (1983) 21-39, 1983.
Inspire Record 162345 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.23773

We have measured the spin-correlation parameters A00kk, A00ks, and A00ss in p−p scattering between 400 and 600 MeV using a longitudinally polarized beam and a butanol target polarized in the horizontal plane. Owing to the restrictive geometrical acceptance of the target, the polarization axis of the target was oriented at an angle α with respect to beam direction. The parameters A00kk and A00ks were therefore measured as a linear combination at 577, 536, 514, 494, and 445 MeV. These experiments were extended to the measurement of A00ks and A00ss by using a transversely polarized beam. We present the results, which are compared with phase-shift predictions.

CROSS-SECTIONS AND SCALING VARIABLE DISTRIBUTIONS OF NEUTRAL AND CHARGED CURRENT NEUTRINO NUCLEON INTERACTIONS FROM A LOW-ENERGY NARROW BAND BEAM

Baltay, C. ; French, H. ; Hibbs, M. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 44 (1980) 916-919, 1980.
Inspire Record 157494 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.20725

This Letter compares neutral-current and charged-current scaling-variable distributions in neutrino-nucleon interactions induced by a narrow-band beam at Brookhaven National Laboratory; the x distribution of neutral-current events has been reported previously. The first measurement of flux-normalized neutrino cross sections from a narrow-band beam in the energy range Eν=3−9 GeV is also presented.

INCLUSIVE K0, LAMBDA0, K*+- (890), AND SIGMA*+- (1385) PRODUCTION IN P P COLLISIONS AT 300-GEV/C

Phys.Rev.D 22 (1980) 573-581, 1980.
Inspire Record 158990 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.24150

Inclusive K0K¯0, Λ0, and Λ¯0 cross sections have been determined using a 292-event/mb exposure of the hydrogen-filled 15-foot bubble chamber at Fermilab. From the invariant-mass distributions of V0π± pairs we find that σ(K*±(890))=4.4±1.4 mb, σ(Σ*±(1385))=0.54±0.40 mb, and σ(Σ¯*±(1385))=0.45±0.34 mb. It is estimated that 0.32 ± 0.11 of K0K¯0's, 0.21 ± 0.16 of Λ's, and 0.96 ± 0.75 of Λ¯'s originate from decays of K*(890) and Σ*(1385), respectively.

MEASUREMENT AND PARTIAL WAVE ANALYSIS OF THE REACTION K- P ---> K0(S) PI+ PI- N AT 6-GEV/C

Phys.Rev.D 22 (1980) 42-60, 1980.

We have performed a partial-wave analysis of the reaction K−p→KS0π+π−n at 6 GeV/c. We present the results of the analysis of about 4500 events in the low-t region (|t′|<0.2 GeV2) for the dominant waves in the 1200-to-2000-MeV mass range. We observe the 2+ K*(1430) and clear signals for the 1+ Q2(1400) and the 3− K*(1800). We find a new 1− resonance at about 1500 MeV and have some evidence for another 1− resonance at 1800 MeV. We also present the results of a partial-wave analysis as a function of t in the 1430-MeV mass region.
