The experimental energy, angular and isotopic distributions for hydrogen and helium nuclei produced in 6.7 GeV deuteron interactions with 58Ni and 64Ni isotopes are presented. The data obtained by using the multichannel E-E semiconductor spectrometer in the 3-50 MeV energy range. Energy spectra are very close to Maxwell distribution, angular distributions are isotropic, isotopic ratios do not depend on emission angle of fragments but depend on a projectile mass

Targets made of C, Al, Cu, Pb, and U were exposed to π+, π−, and proton beams of 9.92 and 19.85 GeV/c (for p-Pb only) at the Brookhaven AGS. A magnetic spectrometer with spark chambers was used to detect elastically scattered particles in the Coulomb-nuclear interference region (5-35 mrad). Differential cross sections are presented and compared with an optical model, taking full account of multiple scattering in the target.

Experimental results are presented for the available channels in the 1.2 GeV/ c π + p interaction. An isobaric model with incoherent addition of the amplitudes is used to determine the π, Δ and N ∗ abundance rates in the π + π o p final state. The multipole parameters in the density matrix of the Δ ++ are determined as functions of its production angle.

We have used a magnetic spectrometer to study the production of charged pions in collisions of 600-MeV neutrons with nuclei of Be, C, Al, Cu, and Pb over a wide range of angles. For these nuclei we have obtained at five angles (16, 30, 60, 90, and 123°) the spectra of pions of both signs, on the basis of which we have found the cross sections, atomic-number dependences, and angular distributions of pion production. The influence of a number of effects on the characteristics of pion production in nuclei is discussed. The analysis performed permits us to obtain a qualitative picture of the basic regulari- ties of pion production.

With observation angles of 29° and 46° relative to a proton beam there were obtained energy spectra for the production of charged rr-mesons in the process p+ p->rr+, Differential cross sections were measured for the angles of 29°, 46° and 65° in the laboratory system.
