A measurement of the total cross section for the reaction p p → π + π − has been performed for seven values of the incident momentum between 158 and 275 MeV/ c . The values obtained, if compared with previous results at higher momenta, agree with a 1/ß dependence. The differential cross section sssumed over the whole incident momentum range has also been measured and the result of a fit by Legendre polynomials is given.

We present results of a K − d experiment performed with the 81 cm Saclay deuterium bubble chamber which was exposed to a K − beam at 4 momenta between 680 and 840 MeV/ c at the CERN PS. Cross sections were measured for inelastic two- and three-body K − n reactions on the basis of 5200 events/mb. Resonance production in the three-body reactions is discussed. In addition, differential cross sections and polarisations are presented for inelastic two-body reactions.

We present measurements of the differential and polarization cross sections for the reactions KL0p→Ks0p, Λπ+, Σ0π+, and Λπ+π0 made in a hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to a beam of KL0 with incident momentum 550±35 MeV/c. The quasielastic data imposes additional constraints on the partial-wave analyses of the KN and K¯N systems. Our data show no strong energy-dependent effects in the region of the reported Σ(1580), JP=32− state. The phase of the forward regeneration amplitude was found to be about - 160° independent of KL0 momentum.

K L 0 p interactions were studied in the CERN 2m H 2 bubble chamber in the c.m. energy range 1490–1700 MeV. The experimental details are described. Results are presented on the final states Λπ + , Σ 0 π + and Λπ + π 0 . The effect of these data on a recent partial-wave analysis of the two-body states is examined.

KL --> 3PI USED TO MEASURE ABSOLUTE CROSS SECTIONS AT 530 MEV/C.
The differential cross section and analyzing power of the reaction pp → d π + were measured for nine incident proton energies between 725 and 1000 MeV. A magnetic spectrometer was used to detect either deuterons or pions. Cross-section and analyzing-power angular distributions were respectively fitted with Legendre polynomial and associated Legendre function expansions, the coefficients of which were found to vary smoothly with energy in the vicinity of the alleged 3 F 3 dibaryon resonance.
Data present here in form of Legendre polynomial fit.

Data at two additional π+ momenta (1.28 and 1.41 GeVc) in the reaction π+p→Σ+K+ are presented. Charge independence is tested over the c.m. energy range 1.820 to 2.090 GeV; we used our data for the Σ+K+ channel and published data for the π−p→Σ0K0 and Σ−K+ channels.

The annihilation\(\bar pn\) → π−π0 has been studied in a D2 bubble chamber at several beam momenta between 1.0 and 1.6 GeV/c. The cross-section has been measured to be (110±15) μb at an average beam momentum of 1.3 GeV/c. The study of the angular distribution shows the presence of anL = 3 wave.

We report on an experiment to obtain differential cross sections for K+p elastic scattering in the vicinity of the possible exotic baryon, the Z1*(1900). The differential cross sections are based on typically 70 000 selected events in the angular region −0.9≤cosθc.m.≤0.9 at each of 22 momenta from 0.865 to 2.125 GeV/c. The data are intended for use in partial-wave analysis to search for the Z1*.

New data are presented on the reaction K − n → K ∗− (890) n from a deuterium bubble chamber experiment. An energy-dependent partial-wave analysis from threshold to 2170 MeV c.m. energy is described, in which a new decay mode of the Σ(2030) resonance into K ∗ (890) N in the S = 3 2 state is clearly observed. An amplitude at resonance of 0.12 ± 0.02 is obtained, consistent with the assignment of the Σ (2030) to the same SU(3) decuplet as the Δ(1950).

Differential cross sections for π−p→π0n at five angles for 239, 264, 295, 323, and 375 MeV/c incident pions are presented. The measurements employ the neutron-photon coincidence method, using carefully calibrated neutron counters and an efficient, large-area photon detector. Good agreement is found with the results of the CERN phase-shift analysis.
