High precision measurements of the form factors of proton, pion, and kaon for timelike momentum transfers of |Q^2|=s=14.2 and 17.4 GeV^2 have been made. Data taken with the CLEO-c detector at sqrt(s)=3.772 GeV and 4.170 GeV, with integrated luminosities of 805 pb^-1 and 586 pb^-1, respectively, have been used to study $e^+e^-$ annihilations into pi+pi-, K+K^-, and ppbar. The perturbative QCD prediction that at large Q^2 the quantity Q^2F(Q^2) for vector mesons is nearly constant, and varies only weakly as the strong coupling constant alpha_S(Q^2) is confirmed for both pions and kaons. In contrast, a significant difference is observed between the values of the corresponding pQCD suggested near-constant quantity, |Q^4|G_M(|Q^2|)/mu_p for protons at |Q^2|=14.2 GeV^2 and 17.4 GeV^2. The results suggest the constancy of |Q^2|G_M(|Q^2|)/mu_p, instead.

Using 20.7 pb^-1 of e+e- annihilation data taken at sqrt{s} = 3.671 GeV with the CLEO-c detector, precision measurements of the electromagnetic form factors of the charged pion, charged kaon, and proton have been made for timelike momentum transfer of |Q^2| = 13.48 GeV^2 by the reaction e+e- to h+h-. The measurements are the first ever with identified pions and kaons of |Q^2| > 4 GeV^2, with the results F_pi(13.48 GeV^2) = 0.075+-0.008(stat)+-0.005(syst) and F_K(13.48 GeV^2) = 0.063+-0.004(stat)+-0.001(syst). The result for the proton, assuming G^p_E = G^p_M, is G^p_M(13.48 GeV^2) = 0.014+-0.002(stat)+-0.001(syst), which is in agreement with earlier results.

Using a data sample of 6.8 pb$^{-1}$ collected with the CMD-3 detector at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider we select about 2700 events of the $e^+e^- \to p\bar{p}$ process and measure its cross section at 12 energy ponts with about 6\% systematic uncertainty. From the angular distribution of produced nucleons we obtain the ratio $|G_{E}/G_{M}| = 1.49 \pm 0.23 \pm 0.30$.

Measurement of the proton form factor by studying $e^{+} e^{-}\rightarrow p\bar{p}$

Using data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we measure the Born cross section of $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow p\bar{p}$ at 12 center-of-mass energies from 2232.4 to 3671.0 MeV. The corresponding effective electromagnetic form factor of the proton is deduced under the assumption that the electric and magnetic form factors are equal $(|G_{E}|= |G_{M}|)$. In addition, the ratio of electric to magnetic form factors, $|G_{E}/G_{M}|$, and $|G_{M}|$ are extracted by fitting the polar angle distribution of the proton for the data samples with larger statistics, namely at $\sqrt{s}=$ 2232.4 and 2400.0 MeV and a combined sample at $\sqrt{s}$ = 3050.0, 3060.0 and 3080.0 MeV, respectively. The measured cross sections are in agreement with recent results from BaBar, improving the overall uncertainty by about 30\%. The $|G_{E}/G_{M}|$ ratios are close to unity and consistent with BaBar results in the same $q^{2}$ region, which indicates the data are consistent with the assumption that $|G_{E}|=|G_{M}|$ within uncertainties.

Using 2917 $\rm{pb}^{-1}$ of data accumulated at 3.773~$\rm{GeV}$, 44.5~$\rm{pb}^{-1}$ of data accumulated at 3.65~$\rm{GeV}$ and data accumulated during a $\psi(3770)$ line-shape scan with the BESIII detector, the reaction $e^+e^-\rightarrow p\bar{p}$ is studied considering a possible interference between resonant and continuum amplitudes. The cross section of $e^+e^-\rightarrow\psi(3770)\rightarrow p\bar{p}$, $\sigma(e^+e^-\rightarrow\psi(3770)\rightarrow p\bar{p})$, is found to have two solutions, determined to be ($0.059\pm0.032\pm0.012$) pb with the phase angle $\phi = (255.8\pm37.9\pm4.8)^\circ$ ($<$0.11 pb at the 90% confidence level), or $\sigma(e^+e^-\rightarrow\psi(3770)\rightarrow p\bar{p}) = (2.57\pm0.12\pm0.12$) pb with $\phi = (266.9\pm6.1\pm0.9)^\circ$ both of which agree with a destructive interference. Using the obtained cross section of $\psi(3770)\rightarrow p\bar{p}$, the cross section of $p\bar{p}\rightarrow \psi(3770)$, which is useful information for the future PANDA experiment, is estimated to be either ($9.8\pm5.7$) nb ($<17.2$ nb at 90% C.L.) or $(425.6\pm42.9)$ nb.

The electromagnetic form factors of the neutron in the time-like region have been measured for the first time, from the threshold up to q 2 ⋟ 6 GeV 2 . The neutron magnetic form factor turns out to be larger than the proton one; the angular distribution suggests that for the neutron, at variance with the proton case, electric and magnetic form factors could be different. Further measurements are also reported, concerning the proton form factors and the Σ Σ production, together with the multihadronic cross section and the J / Γ branching ratio into n n .

The uncertainty on the evaluated cross section is given by the quadratic combination of the following terms: the statistical uncertainty on the number of events, the statistical and systematic uncertainty on the luminosity (about 6PCT), the systematic uncertainty on the efficiency evaluation, dominated by the scanning efficiency contribution (about 15PCT). The SQRT(S) values with (C=NOMIN) and (C=SHIFT) correspond to the nominal energy and shifted energy analysis (see text of paper for details).
