Inspire Record 140230 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34681

The polarisation parameters Σ, P and T have been measured for the process γ p→ π 0 p in the photon energy range 1300–2100 MeV and c.m. angles between 30° and 110°, in an experiment with a polarised beam and polarised target. The results are compared with a recent theoretical analysis which fits data from threshold to 16 GeV. The new data are in general agreement with the analysis, but with some significant discrepancies in detail.

Measurements of the Double Polarization Parameters $G$ and $H$ in Neutral Pion Photoproduction

Bussey, P.J. ; Rutherglen, J.G. ; Booth, P.S.L. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 159 (1979) 383-396, 1979.
Inspire Record 141663 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34624

Measurements have been made of the double polarisation parameters G and H in the photoproduction of neutral pions from protons, for incident photon energies between 1300 MeV and 2300 MeV and for pion c.m. angles between 50δ and 80δ. The results are compared with predictions from a recent comprehensive analysis of earlier photoproduction data.

A Search for Delta I = 2 Electromagnetic Currents in Pion Photoproduction

Clifft, R.W. ; Gabathuler, E. ; Littenberg, L.S. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 33 (1974) 1500, 1974.
Inspire Record 90951 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21245

Differential cross sections for the reactions γp→π0p, π+n and γn→π−p, π0n were measured in a single experiment using tagged photons in the energy region 240-450 MeV incident on H21 and H22 targets. Results of the measurements of the ratios π0nπ0p and π−pπ+n are presented. The ratio of isotensor to isovector amplitude is found to be 0.00±0.02.

Booth, P.S.L. ; Court, G.R. ; Craven, B. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 38 (1972) 339-341, 1972.
Inspire Record 75858 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.28336

The polarized target asymmetry parameter has been measured for single π o photoproduction from hydrogen at 4 GeV and values of four-momentum transfer squared between −0.15 (GeV/ c ) 2 and −1.8 (GeV/ c ) 2 .

The recoil proton polarization in the reaction gamma p ---> pi0 p in the third resonance region

Prentice, M.N. ; Railton, R. ; Rutherglen, J.G. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 41 (1972) 353-364, 1972.
Inspire Record 75162 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.32916

Measurements have been made of the polarization of the recoil proton in the process γ p → π o p for photon energies of 850 - 1250 MeV and centre-of-mass angles of 80° - 125°. The results, which are to a typical accuracy of ±0.09, show a marked disagreement with previous phenomenological analyses above 1000 MeV.

The Polarized Target Asymmetry for Neutral Pion Photoproduction from Protons in the Photon Energy Range 0.7-GeV-1.45-GeV

Booth, P.S.L. ; Carroll, L.J. ; Court, G.R. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 121 (1977) 45-57, 1977.
Inspire Record 111591 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.35454

Measurements have been made of the target asymmetry parameter for photoproduction of π 0 mesons from protons, using a butanol polarised target with a 3 He cryostat. Results were obtained at 14 incident photon energies between 0.7 GeV and 1.45 GeV over an angular range ∼40° to 145° c.m. The recent analysis of Barbour and Crawford provides a very good fit to the data.
