We present results on a number of non-diffractive two-body channels contributing to reactions K + p→K 0 π + p and K + p→K + π − π + p. The data come from an exposure of the Mirabelle bubble chamber to an r.f. separated K + beam of 32 GeV/ c at the Serpukhov accelerator. Total cross sections are given for the final states K ∗+ (890) p , K ∗+ (1420) p , K 0 Δ ++ (1232), K ∗+ (890) p , Δ ++ (1232), K ∗0 (1420) Δ ++ (1232), K ∗0 (1780) Δ ++ (1232) and K ∗0 (890) Δ ++ (1950) . The differential cross sections are given for all channels with sufficient statistics. The energy dependence of the total and differential cross sections is studied.

A Comparison of K+- n Charge Exchange Reactions at 8.5-GeV/c and 13-GeV/c

Phys.Rev.Lett. 40 (1978) 6, 1978.
Inspire Record 120363 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.20886

The cross sections for the line-reversed reaction pairs K+n→K0p and K−p→K¯0n, and K+p→K0Δ++ and K−n→K¯0Δ− have been determined with high statistics and good relative normalization at 8.36 and 12.8 GeV/c in a spectrometer experiment at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. The cross sections for the K+-induced reactions are larger than for the K−, contrary to the expectations of weakly-exchange-degenerate Regge-pole models. The ratio of the reaction cross sections is about the same as at lower energies and shows little change with momentum transfer.

Phys.Rev.D 15 (1977) 617, 1977.
Inspire Record 110057 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.24603

Differential cross sections for the reactions K−p→K¯0n, K−p→K¯0Δ0, and K+p→K0Δ++ in the region 0<|t|<1.2 GeV2 are presented from a wire-spark-chamber spectrometer experiment performed in a 13-GeV/c separated beam. The results are based on 20 000 Δ++ events, 4600 Δ0 events, and 8500 n events. The line-reversed pair of Δ reactions is used to test Regge exchange degeneracy and an SU(3) sum rule. The energy dependence of all three reactions is studied by comparison with other experiments.

We present a systematic analysis of the production of K ∗+ (892) and Δ ++ (1236) resonances in the K + p → K 0 p π + reaction at 5, 8.25 and 16 GeV/ c . We have measured total cross sections, differential cross sections, density matrix elements and examined resonance production mechanisms in terms of the exchange of states with definite naturality. Some results on the reaction K + p → K ∗+ (1420) p are also given.

A Study of Resonance Production in the Reaction K+ p --> K0 p pi+ from 3 to 16-GeV/c

Nucl.Phys.B 107 (1976) 381-421, 1976.

The reactions K + p → K ∗+ (890) p , K + p → K ∗+ (1420) p and K + p → K 0 Δ ++ have been systematically studied for eleven incident momenta between 3.0 and 16.0 GeV/ c . Cross sections, differential cross sections and density matrix elements are presented. For K ∗ (890) production the contributions from natural and unnatural parity exchanges have also been separated into I = 0 and I = 1 components. Effective trajectories have been extracted in the case of natural parity exchange, and also for Δ ++ production.

Line Reversal Breaking in K+- n Charge Exchange and K+- n --> K0 Delta (1236) at 4-GeV/c and 6-GeV/c

Phelan, J.J. ; Ambats, I. ; Meyer, W.T. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 61 (1976) 483-486, 1976.
Inspire Record 2871 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27677

Differential cross sections for the line-reversed reaction pairs K + 0p → K o Δ ++ (1236), K − n → K ̄ o Δ − (1236) and K − p → K ̄ o n , K + n → K o p have been measured with good statistics at 4 and 6 GeV/ c . The line reversal breaking for the Δ (1236) reactions is found to have no significant variation with energy and to be larger than for the charge exchange reactions. The cross sections for all four reactions show a dip in the forward direction, indicating the importance of spin-flip amplitudes.

Partial Waves in the K+ p Interaction Between 1.2-GeV/c and 1.7-GeV/c

Lesquoy, E. ; Muller, A. ; Triantis, F.A. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 99 (1975) 346-364, 1975.
Inspire Record 99646 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.31859

A simultaneous partial-wave analysis of the three final states K + p, K ∗ (892)N and KΔ(1236) is attempted using inelastic data with large statistics at 1.21, 1.29, 1.38 and 1.69 GeV/ c as well as existing data on the elastic reaction. The constraint of unitarity, which is almost saturated by these reactions, allows one to determine the size and relative phases of the dominant partial waves and to give some limits on the others. Their variation with energy is discussed, as well as the consistency of the different sets of elastic phase shifts with the inelastic data. We also compare the predictions of the duality hypothesis with the data.

We have studied the reactions K+p→K0Δ++(1236) at 15.7 GeVc, K−p→K¯0n at 10.7 and 15.7 GeVc, and K−p→K¯0Δ0(1236) at 15.7 GeVc in the BNL Double Vee Magnetic Spectrometer. The π+ and π− from the decays of forward K0's were detected and the above reactions were identified by a missing-mass technique. Total and differential cross sections are presented for the first two reactions and a total cross section for the third.

Elastic scattering and single-pion production in k+ p reactions at 4.27 gev/c

Seidl, A. ;
Phys.Rev.D 7 (1973) 621-636, 1973.
Inspire Record 82569 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.22113

Elastic K+p scattering at a beam momentum of 4.27 GeV/c is studied and compared with elastic K−p scattering in order to extract the imaginary part of the non-Pomeranchukon-exchange amplitude. The single-pion-production cross sections are presented as well as production cross sections and resonance parameters for the Δ(1236), the K*+(890), and the K*+(1420). Production and decay distributions for the Δ++(1236) and the K*+(890) are presented and compared with the absorptive particle-exchange model and with Regge-pole-exchange models.
