The cross sections for charged and neutral current deep inelastic scattering in e^+p collisions with a longitudinally polarised positron beam have been measured using the ZEUS detector at HERA. The results, based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 23.8 pb^-1 at sqrt(s) = 318 GeV, are given for both e^+p charged current and neutral current deep inelastic scattering for both positive and negative values of the longitudinal polarisation of the positron beam. Single differential cross sections are presented for the kinematic region Q^2 > 200 GeV^2 . The measured cross sections are compared to the predictions of the Standard Model. A fit to the data yields sigma^CC (P_e = -1) = 7.4 +/- 3.9 (stat.) +/- 1.2 (syst.) pb, which is consistent within two standard deviations with the absence of right-handed charged currents in the Standard Model.
Total cross sections for the E+ P CC DIS at Q**2 > 200 GeV for the two different longitudinal positron polarizations and extrapolated with a linear fit to a polarization of -1.0 (including earlier unpolarized data).

Jet production in charged and neutral current events in the kinematic range of Q^2 from 640 to 35000 GeV^2 is studied in deep-inelastic positron-proton scattering at HERA. The measured rate of multi-jet events and distributions of jet polar angle, transverse energy, dijet mass, and other dijet variables are presented. Using parton densities derived from inclusive DIS cross sections, perturbative QCD calculations in NLO are found to give a consistent description of both the neutral and charged current dijet production. A direct, model independent comparison of the jet distributions in charged and neutral current events confirms that the QCD dynamics of the hadronic final state is independent of the underlying electroweak scattering process.

Normalised distribution in Y2 for NC and CC dijet events. Y2 is the smallest scaled value of KT (KTJET**2/W**2) given by the combination of (2+1) jets. The +1 refers to the proton remnant jet.
The inclusive single and double differential cross-sections for neutral and charged current processes with four-momentum transfer squared Q^2 between 150 and 30,000 GeV2 and with Bjorken x between 0.0032 and 0.65 are measured in e^+ p collisions. The data were taken with the H1 detector at HERA between 1994 and 1997, and they correspond to an integrated luminosity of 35.6 pb^-1. The Q^2 evolution of the parton densities of the proton is tested, yielding no significant deviation from the prediction of perturbative QCD. The proton structure function F_2(x,Q^2) is determined. An extraction of the u and d quark distributions at high x is presented. At high Q^2 electroweak effects of the heavy bosons Z0 and W are observed and found to be consistent with Standard Model expectation.
The structure function, F2, and the reduced cross section, in NC DIS scattering at Q**2 from 150 to 30000 GeV**2 as a function if x and y. Also tabulated are the QED corrections to the data, which have already been applied. The individual corrections used to calculate F2 from the cross sections are given in the following table.
The various corrections to the cross sections used to calcuate the F2 values given in the previous table. See the text of the paper for more details.
The CC double differential cross section and the structure function term PHI(C=CC) - see text of the paper for details - at Q**2 from 150 to 1 5000 GeV**2 as a function of both x and y. Also tabulated are the QED corrections to the data, which have already been applied.
Charged vector D*+(2010) meson production is studied in a high energy neutrino bubble chamber experiment with mean neutrino energy of 141 GeV. The D*+ are produced in (5.6±1.8)% of the neutrino charged current interactions, indicating a steep increase of cross section with energy. The mean fractional hadronic energy of the D*+ meson is 0.55 ± 0.06.

The $Q~{2}$ dependence and the total cross sections for charged and neutral current processes are measured in $e~{\pm}p$ reactions for transverse momenta of the outgoing lepton larger than 25 GeV. Comparable size of cross sections for the neutral current process and for the weak charged current process are observed above $Q~2\approx5000$GeV$~2$. Using the shape and magnitude of the charged current cross section we determine a propagator mass of $m_{W} = 84\ ~{+10}_{-7}$ GeV.

Minimum Bias production cross sections of $\eta$ mesons have been measured in 200AGeV S+Au and S+S collisions at the CERN SPS by reconstructing the $\eta\rightarrow\gamma\gamma$ decay. The measurements have been made over the rapidity range $2.1 \leq y \leq 2.9$ using the leadglass spectrometer of WA80. Within the statistical and systematical uncertainties the spectral shapes of $\pi~0$ and $\eta$ mesons yields are identical when their invariant differential cross section is plotted as a function of the transverse mass. The relative normalization of the $\eta$ to $\pi~0$ transverse mass spectra is found to be $0.53 \pm 0.07$ for S+Au and $0.43 \pm 0.15$ for S+S reactions. Extrapolation to full phase space leads to an integrated cross section ratio of $\eta$ to $\pi~0$ mesons of $0.15 \pm 0.02 {\rm (stat.)} \pm 0.02 {\rm (syst.)}$, and $0.12 \pm 0.03 {\rm (stat.)} \pm 0.02 {\rm (syst.)}$ for S+Au and S+S collisions, respectively.
