We have studied transverse momenta of charged hadrons in the current fragmentation region of charged current antineutrino- nucleon interactions observed in the Fermilab 15 ft bubble chamber. The measured momentum squared transverse to the v μ + plane (p out 2 ) of the negative hadrons varies as a function of Q 2 , W 2 and x as expected from t he leading order perturbative QCD calculations. Positively charged hadrons show a different transverse momentum behaviour as a function of Q 2 .

We have used the ratio between the production rates of $K^0$'s and $π^−$'s in antineutrino-nucleon interactions in the Fermilab 15 ft bubble chamber to measure the size of the SU (3) symmetry violation in the production of quark-antiquark pairs to be 0.27 ± 0.04. This value is significantly larger than the value obtained from a recent ep experiment. There is no apparent dependence of the $K^0$/$π^−$ ratio with $W^2 , Q ^2 , x_b$ or $p_T^2$ .

The np elastic differential cross section has been measured for incident neutron momenta 100–400 GeV/ c in the | t | range 6 · 10 −6 − 5 · 10 −1 (GeV/ c ) 2 . The np data of this experiment provide a first direct measurement of the hadronic amplitude for | t | < 10 −2 (GeV/ c ) 2 , which is consistent with the extrapolations from higher | t | values. Our data for | t | < 10 −4 (GeV/ c ) 2 are consistent with a rise which can be attributed to Schwinger scattering, caused by the interaction of the neutron magnetic moment with the proton.

We present the inclusive and semi-inclusive production of protons, π+, π−, for the full range of kinematic variables, from 7850 inelastic interactions obtained in the 4.7 m liquid-hydrogen bubble chamber Mirabelle at the Serpukhov accelerator and with an incident proton beam of 69 GeV/c. Correlations between pions produced in pp collisions at 69 GeV/c are observed both for π−π+ and π−π−. Short-range correlations in rapidity are present fory1⋍y2 in both cases; an enhancement is seen aroundy1=y2=±1. Correlations between transverse variables are linked to those in rapidity for π−π− combinations, whereas the effect is essentially kinematical for π+π−.

We have carried out high-statistics measurements of inclusive π0 and γ-ray spectra from p¯p annihilation at rest. From the monochromatic peaks in the π0 spectra, we derive the yield (or its upper limit) of the reaction p¯p→π0M for M=φ, η’, ω, ρ0, η, and π0. The same quantity was independently obtained from the γ-ray spectra, which included some π0’s that were mistaken as single γ rays due to the limited granularity of the γ detector. Taking the monochromatic peaks in the γ-ray spectra as being due to prompt γ rays, we also derive the upper limit for p¯p→γM.

Using modularized NaI(Tl) detectors, we carried out a high statistics measurement of inclusive γ-ray, π0, and η spectra, and determined the branching ratios or upper limits of Pontecorvo reactions p¯d→π0n, π0Δ0, ηn, and ηΔ0 from the corresponding monochromatic peaks in them. The obtained branching ratios are B(p¯d→π0n)=(1.03±0.41)×10−5, B(p¯d→π0Δ0)=(4.67±1.66)×10−5, B(p¯d→ηn)<8.94×10−6 (95% C.L.), and B(p¯d→ηΔ0)<6.49×10−5 (95% C.L.).

An inclusive γ ray spectrum in p̄p annihilation at rest has been measured with modularized NaI(Tℓ) detectors with statistics several times higher than before. The aim of the experiment was to search for baryonium B in p̄p → γB by detection of narrow lines in the γ ray spectrum. We have not observed any narrow state B with yield greater than 1.5 × 10 −3 per annihilation and with statistical significance higher than 2σ.
