We measure the particle-level forward-backward production asymmetry in $b\bar{b}$ pairs with masses $m(b\bar{b})$ larger than 150 GeV/$c^2$, using events with hadronic jets and employing jet charge to distinguish $b$ from $\bar{b}$. The measurement uses 9.5/fb of ppbar collisions at a center of mass energy of 1.96 TeV recorded by the CDF II detector. The asymmetry as a function of $m(b\bar{b})$ is consistent with zero, as well as with the predictions of the standard model. The measurement disfavors a simple model including an axigluon with a mass of 200 GeV/$c^2$ whereas a model containing a heavier 345 GeV/$c^2$ axigluon is not excluded.
Values of maximum a posteriori signal asymmetry as a function of $b\bar{b}$ mass. The error bars represent the 68% credible intervals.
We report a measurement of the ratios of the decay rates of the B~+, B~0 and B~0_s mesons into exclusive final states containing a J/psi meson. The final states were selected from 19.6 pb~{-1} of p-pbar collisions recorded by the Collider Detector at Fermilab. These data are interpreted to determine the bquark fragmentation fractions f_u, f_d and f_s. We also determine the branching fractions for the decay modes B~+ --> J/psi K~+, B~+ --> J/psi K~*(892)~+, B~0 --> J/psi K~0, B~0 --> J/psi K~*(892)~0 and B_s~0 --> J/psi phi(1020). We discuss the implications of these measurements to B meson decay models.
Charge conjugated states are implied. FD is considered as a quark fragmentation fraction.
We present a measurement of the b-quark cross section in 1.8 TeV p-p¯ collisions recorded with the Collider Detector at Fermilab using muonic b-quark decays. In the central rapidity region (‖yb‖<1.0), the cross section is 295±21±75 nb (59±14±15 nb) for pTb>21 GeV/c (29 GeV/c). Comparisons are made to previous measurements and next-to-leading order QCD calculations.

We present measurements of the bottom-quark production cross sections in pp¯ collisions at √s =1.8 TeV. From the inclusive electron production rate, we have determined the bottom-quark production cross sections to be 1010±270, 168±43, 37±10 nb for the rapidity range of ‖yb‖<1.0 and the transverse momentum ranges of pTb>15, 23, 32 GeV/c, respectively. In addition, from the associated electron-D0 production rate, we have determined the bottom-quark cross section to be 364±80(stat)±95(syst) nb for ‖yb‖<1.0 and pTb>19 GeV/c.
