We present data on inclusive negative-hadron production from charged-current antineutrino interactions in a 21% Ne-H mixture. Inclusive single-particle distributions are presented and are shown to be insensitive to the momentum transferred to the hadron vertex. Comparisons made to inclusive data from π−p and π−n interactions indicate a close similarity between the hadrons resulting from π-nucleon and ν¯-nucleus interactions. The general features of the ν¯-nucleus data are found to be similar to those seen in ν¯p interactions. This last observation implies that ν¯p and ν¯n interactions are similar and that nuclear effects are small.

Polarization of Muoproduced J/psi (3100)

Phys.Rev.Lett. 45 (1980) 2092, 1980.
Inspire Record 155741 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.20697

The polarization and Q2 dependence of muoproduced ψ→μ+μ− have been analyzed in a magnetized-steel calorimeter at Fermilab. The reaction γVN→ψN is found to be helicity conserving. Even after allowance for possible Q2 dependence of the decay angular distribution, the ψ muoproduction cross section falls more steeply in Q2 than predicted by ψ dominance.

We report the branching ratios of the χc2(13P2) and χc0(13P0) charmonium resonances to two photons using event samples collected by Fermilab experiment E835 in the reactions p¯p→χc2(13P2)[χc0(13P0)]. Our result for the χc2 is B(χc2→γγ)=(1.35±0.25±0.12)×10−4. We set a 95% upper limit for the χc0 branching ratio B(χc0→γγ) at 2.09×10−4.

Observation of orbitally excited B mesons in p anti-p collisions at S**(1/2) = 1.8-TeV

We measure the relative rate of production of orbitally excited (L=1) states of B mesons (B**) by observing their decays into Bπ±. We reconstruct B mesons through semileptonic decay channels using data collected in pp¯ collisions at s=1.8TeV. The fraction of light B mesons that are produced as L=1B** states is measured to be 0.28±0.06(stat)±0.03(syst). We also measure the collective mass of the B** states, and quantify the result by quoting the (model-dependent) mass of the lowest B** state to be m(B1)=5.71±0.02GeV/c2.

A New Upper Limit for the Tau-Neutrino Magnetic Moment

The DONUT collaboration Schwienhorst, R. ; Rusack, R. ; Ciampa, D. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 513 (2001) 23-29, 2001.
Inspire Record 552998 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.41688

Using a prompt neutrino beam in which a nu_tau component was identified for the first time, the nu_tau magnetic moment was measured based on a search for an anomalous increase in the number of neutrino-electron interactions. One such event was observed when 2.3 were expected from background processes, giving an upper 90% confidence limit of 3.9x10^-7 Bohr magnetons.

Shadowing in Inelastic Scattering of Muons on Carbon, Calcium and Lead at Low XBj

Z.Phys.C 67 (1995) 403-410, 1995.
Inspire Record 394981 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.41664

Nuclear shadowing is observed in the per-nucleon cross-sections of positive muons on carbon, calcium and lead as compared to deuterium. The data were taken by Fermilab experiment E665 using inelastically scattered muons of mean incident momentum 470 GeV/c. Cross-section ratios are presented in the kinematic region 0.0001 < XBj <0.56 and 0.1 < Q**2 < 80 GeVc. The data are consistent with no significant nu or Q**2 dependence at fixed XBj. As XBj decreases, the size of the shadowing effect, as well as its A dependence, are found to approach the corresponding measurements in photoproduction.

Inclusive Charm Cross-Sections in 800-GeV/c p p Interactions

The LEBC-MPS collaboration Ammar, R. ; Banerjee, S. ; Baland, J.F. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 183 (1987) 110, 1987.
Inspire Record 233423 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.42573

We report a measurement of the inclusive D/D̄ production cross section in 800 GeV/ c proton-proton interactions. The experiment used the high resolution bubble chamber LEBC exposed to an 800 GeV/ c proton beam at the Fermilab MPS. We obtain σ( D/ D ̄ )=59 −15 +22 μ b (statistical errors), having analysed 25% of the total data sample. Comparison with 400 GeV/ c pp dat a obtained with LEBC at CERN shows a D/D̄ cross section increase by a factor of 1.7 −0.5 +0.7 . This is in good agreement with fusion model calculations.
