Measurement of K$^{*}$(892)$^{\mathrm{\pm}}$ production in inelastic pp collisions at the LHC

Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LHC. The first results on K*(892)$^{\pm}$ resonance production in inelastic pp collisions at LHC energies of $\sqrt{s}$ = 5.02, 8, and 13 TeV are reported. The K*(892)$^{\pm}$ has been reconstructed via its hadronic decay channel K*(892)$^{\pm} \rightarrow$ $\mathrm {K^0_S}$ $~+~\pi^{\pm}$ with the ALICE detector. Transverse momentum distributions measured at mid-rapidity, integrated yields, and mean transverse momenta are presented. The ratio of each measured p$_{T}$ distribution for K*(892)$^{\pm}$ mesons at $\sqrt{s}$ = 5.02, 8 and 13 TeV to the K*(892)$^{0}$ spectrum at the same collision energy is reported. The pp data at $\sqrt{s}$ = 5.02 and 13 TeV were collected in 2015 while data at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV were collected in 2012, with integrated luminosities of 2.12, 0.92 and 1.25 nb$^{-1}$, respectively.
