Differential cross sections for π + p elastic scattering were measured for seven incident energies from 65 to 140 MeV at laboratory scattering angles between 93° and 165°. The results are compared with previous results of Bertin et al. and the phase-shift analysis of Arndt and Roper. Agreement between the phase-shift analysis and the data is good.

Inclusive Charged Particle Production at the CERN anti-p p Collider

The UA2 collaboration Banner, M. ; Bloch, P. ; Bonaudi, F. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 122 (1983) 322-328, 1983.
Inspire Record 190969 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.30782

Transverse momentum distributions of pions, kaons and protons have been measured around 90° in the UA2 detector at the SPS p p collider, at a CM energy of 540 GeV. All the cross sections have increased by more than a factor of 2 over those measured at ISR energies and exhibit a flatter behaviour with respect to transverse momentum.

MEASUREMENT OF THE DEUTERON STRUCTURE FUNCTION F2 AND A COMPARISON OF PROTON AND NEUTRON STRUCTURE

Phys.Lett.B 123 (1983) 123-126, 1983.
Inspire Record 188737 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.30753

The deuteron structure function F 2 d has been measured in 280 GeV μ + d interactions. Existing measurements of F 2 p , made with the same apparatus, are used to calculate F 2 p − F 2 n and F 2 n F 2 p . The ratio F 2 n F 2 p has a similar x dependence to that of earlier measurements at lower Q 2 .

Measurement of differential cross sections for processes $\gamma d\to p n$, $\pi^0 d$, and $p X$ in the energy range of dibaryon resonances

Phys.Rev.C 28 (1983) 286-293, 1983.
Inspire Record 195610 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.26333

The differential cross section for the reactions γd→pn, γd→π0d, and γd→pX has been measured by using a tagged photon beam in the energy range of dibaryon resonances. The most characteristic feature of the data for γd→pn is a forward nonpeaking angular distribution. This behavior is in complete disagreement with the existing predictions which take into account the dibaryon resonances. A phenomenological analysis is made by slightly modifying the model of the Tokyo group, but no satisfactory result is obtained. The data for γd→π0d at large angles show that the differential cross section decreases exponentially as a function of pion angle. A comparison is made with a Glauber model calculation. The result seems to be rather in favor of the existence of dibaryon resonances, but a clear conclusion is not possible because of a lack of more accurate data. In the process γd→pX, a broad peak due to quasifree pion production is observed, but the limitation of experimental sensitivity does not allow us to have a definite conclusion for the dibaryon resonance of mass 2.23 GeV conjectured by the Saclay group.

THREE PION PRODUCTION ON NUCLEI AT 200-GEV

We have carried out a systematic study of the coherent dissociation of pions into 3 pions using nuclear targets. The experiment was performed at Fermilab using a high resolution forward spectrometer. Data were taken with carbon, copper and lead targets at an incident momentum of 202.5 GeV/c. Results are presented on momentum transfers, 3-pion masses, and on the nuclearA-dependence of the production cross section.

Inclusive $\Delta^{++}$ and $\Lambda$ Production in Proton Proton Interactions at {ISR} Energies

Z.Phys.C 21 (1984) 321, 1984.
Inspire Record 188801 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.16280

Inclusive cross sections forΔ++ production inpp interactions at different ISR energies are presented. The differential cross sectiondσ/dx forΔ++ production is found to be approximately independent of Feynmanx. No strong energy dependence is seen over the ISR energy range. The topological cross sections ofΔ++ at\(\sqrt s= 62\) GeV show an appreciable contribution from non-diffractive production mechanisms. An upper limit for theΔ0 production cross section is determined.

A PARTIAL WAVE ANALYSIS OF THE F' REGION IN THE REACTION K- P ---> K ANTI-K LAMBDA0 AT 8.25-GeV/c

A partial wave analysis of theK\(\bar K\) system produced by 8.25 GeV/cK− mesons in the reaction\(K^ -p \to K\bar K\Lambda ^{ 0} \) has been performed, taking into account the information provided by the Λ0 decay. Thef′ region is dominated byD0(−) andD1(+) waves. We see no evidence for the production of new 0++ states in the mass region 1.05 to 1.75 GeV.
