We report on measurements of correlated\(b\bar b\) production in\(p\bar p\) collisions at\(\sqrt s = 630GeV\), using dimuon data to tag both theb and\(\bar b\) quarks. Starting from an inclusive dimuon sample we obtain improved cross-sections for single inclusive beauty production and confirm our earlier results on\(B^0 - \bar B^0\) mixing. From a study of\(b\bar b\) correlations we derive explicit cross-sections for semi-differential\(b\bar b\) production. We compare the measured cross-sections and correlations to\(\mathcal{O}\left( {\alpha _s^3 } \right)\) QCD predictions and find good quantitative agreement. From the measured angular distributions we establish a size-able contribution from higher order QCD processes with a significance of about seven standard deviations. A large nonperturbative contribution to these higher order corrections is excluded.

Phys.Lett.B 316 (1993) 412-426, 1993.
Inspire Record 357414 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.28804

This paper presents our first measurement of the F 2 structure function in neutral-current, deep inelastic scattering using the ZEUS detector at HERA, the ep colliding beam facility at DESY. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 24.7 nb −1 . Results are presented for data in range of Q 2 from 10 GeV 2 to 4700 GeV 2 and Bjorken x down to 3.0 × 10 −4 . The F 2 structure function increases rapidly as x decreases.

A Measurement of Elastic $J / \psi$ Photoproduction Cross Section at Fermilab E687

The E687 collaboration Frabetti, P.L. ; Paolone, V.S. ; Yager, P.M. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 316 (1993) 197-206, 1993.
Inspire Record 359356 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.28834

Measurements of elastic photoproduction cross sections for the J / ψ meson from 100 GeV to 375 GeV are presented. The results indicate that the cross section increases slowly in this range. The shape of the energy dependence agrees well with the photon-gluon fusion model prediction.

The H1 collaboration Abt, I. ; Ahmed, T. ; Andreev, V. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 407 (1993) 515-538, 1993.
Inspire Record 357797 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.37121

A measurement of the proton structure function F 2 ( x , Q 2 ) is presented with about 1000 neutral current deep inelastic scattering events for Bjorken x in the range x ⋍ 10 −2 – 10 −4 and Q 2 > 5 GeV 2 . The measurement is based on an integrated luminosity of 22.5 nb −1 recorded by the H1 detector in the first year of HERA operation. The structure function F 2 ( x , Q 2 ) shows a significant rise with decreasing x .

Phys.Rev.D 50 (1994) 5518-5534, 1994.
Inspire Record 359411 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.22369

Antiproton-proton elastic scattering was measured at c.m.s. energies √s =546 and 1800 GeV in the range of four-momentum transfer squared 0.025<-t<0.29 GeV2. The data are well described by the exponential form ebt with a slope b=15.28±0.58 (16.98±0.25) GeV−2 at √s =546 (1800) GeV. The elastic scattering cross sections are, respectively, σel=12.87±0.30 and 19.70±0.85 mb.

Measurement of the A-dependence of deep inelastic electron scattering

Cross sections for deep-inelastic electron scattering from liquid deuterium, gaseous He4, and solid Be, C, Al, Ca, Fe, Ag, and Au targets were measured at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center using electrons with energies ranging from 8 to 24.5 GeV. These data cover a range in the Bjorken variable x from 0.089 to 0.8, and in momentum transfer Q2 from 2 to 15 (GeV/c)2. The ratios of cross sections per nucleon (σAσd)is for isoscalar nuclei have been extracted from the data. These ratios are greater than unity in the range 0.1

Measurement of the D*+- cross-section in a two photon process

The TOPAZ collaboration Enomoto, R. ; Iwasaki, M. ; Muramatsu, K. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 50 (1994) 1879-1883, 1994.
Inspire Record 357776 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.38389

We have measured the inclusive $D~{*\pm}$ production cross section in a two-photon collision at the TRISTAN $e~+e~-$ collider. The mean $\sqrt{s}$ of the collider was 57.16 GeV and the integrated luminosity was 150 $pb~{-1}$. The differential cross section ($d\sigma(D~{*\pm})/dP_T$) was obtained in the $P_T$ range between 1.6 and 6.6 GeV and compared with theoretical predictions, such as those involving direct and resolved photon processes.

Production of charged hadrons by positive muons on deuterium and xenon at 490-GeV

The E665 collaboration Adams, M.R. ; Aderholz, M. ; Aïd, S. ; et al.
Z.Phys.C 61 (1994) 179-198, 1994.
Inspire Record 359394 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.42505

Results on the production of charged hadrons in muon-deuteron and muon-xenon interactions are presented. The data were taken with the E665 spectrometer, which was exposed to the 490 GeV muon beam of the Tevatron at Fermilab. The use of a streamer chamber as vertex detector provides nearly 4π acceptance for charged particles. The μD data are compared with the μXe data in terms of multiplicity distributions, average multiplicities, forward-backward multiplicity correlations, rapidity and transverse momentum distributions and of two-particle rapidity correlations of charged hadrons. The data cover a range of invariant hadronic massesW from 8 to 30 GeV.
