We present results of a K − d bubble-chamber experiment at four K − momenta between 680 and 840 MeV/ c . The validity of the spectator model for the analysisof KN interactions in deuterium is discussed. Cross sections are determined for the reactions K − p → Σ − π + , K − p → Σ + π − and K − p → Λπ + π − and are compared to those obtain ed on free protons.

ELASTIC SCATTERING AND OMEGA MESON PRODUCTION NEAR THE THRESHOLD OF PI- P ---> OMEGA N

Nucl.Phys.B 154 (1979) 503-518, 1979.
Inspire Record 146573 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34745

Measurements are reported of the differential cross section for the reaction π − +p→ ω +n from threshold to a final-state c.m. momentum P ∗ of 200 MeV /c . The previously reported fall in total cross section σ/P ∗ below about 100 MeV/ c is again seen. The differential cross section remains close to isotropic over the entire range. A paralle experiment on the variation in the elastic differential cross section across the threshold shows evidence of this threshold. The elastic data cover a range of incident moments from 1010 to 1180 MeV/ c in steps of 5 MeV/ c .

POLARIZED CROSS-SECTION MEASUREMENTS FOR THE REACTION PI- P ---> ETA N FROM 1171-MEV/C TO 2267-MEV/C AND A PARTIAL WAVE ANALYSIS OF THIS REACTION IN THE RESONANCE REGION

Nucl.Phys.B 156 (1979) 93-110, 1979.
Inspire Record 146768 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34678

Polarized cross sections for the reaction π − p → η n have been measured at 12 incident momenta between 1171 and 2267 MeV/ c . The data show that the polarization is small in the forward direction and there is a general trend for it to be large and positive near cos θ ∗ = 0.2 . These are the first published results on polarization effects in this channel in the resonance region. An energy-dependent partial-wave analysis has been performed and the couplings and branching fractions for decays of nucleon resonances to this channel are presented.

CUSP IN PI- P ELASTIC SCATTERING AT THE ETA THRESHOLD

We present results from a high momentum resolution measurement of the π − p elastic differential cross section near the η production threshold. By analysing the cusp discontinuity in the elastic cross section we deduce the non-spin-flip elastic amplitude and compare it with solutions from phase-shift analyses.

DIFFERENTIAL CROSS-SECTIONS FOR RADIATIVE CAPTURE OF PIONS ON HYDROGEN IN THE DELTA (1232) REGION: A TEST OF THE ISOSPIN STRUCTURE AND T SYMMETRY OF HADRONIC ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERACTIONS

Tran, M.T. ; Guex, L.H. ; Alder, J.C. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.A 324 (1979) 301-334, 1979.
Inspire Record 147550 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.37080

Radiation capture of π − on hydrogen has been measured in the momentum range from p π − = 210 MeV/ c to p π − = 385 MeV/ c and for c.m. angles between 30° and 120°, covering the Δ (1232) resonance. The unambiguous separation of the events from the charge exchange background is based on precise neutron time-of-flight measurements. Detector efficiencies were carefully determined in separate experiments. The experimental results are in good agreement with those of the inverse reaction and with most recent multipole analyses. An upper limit of ±2% can be set on the contribution of the isotensor term to the transition amplitude. A time reversal violating phase, when added to the resonant M 1+ 3 amplitude in the Donnachie-Shaw model, is found to be consistent with zero.

This results was extracted from the cross sections for the inverse reactionPI- P --> GAMMA N via detailed balance by applying relation: D(SIG(GAMMA))/D(OM EGA)=D(SIG(PI-))/D(OMEGA)*P(PI)**2/2/P(GAMMA)**2.

Photoproduction of Neutral Pions at Backward Angles in the Resonance Region and the $\eta$ - Cusp

Inspire Record 140694 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.50217

At the Bonn 2.5 GeV electron synchrotron we have measured the differential cross section of the reaction γp→π0p at a pion CM angle of 170° and at photon energiesKγ between 0.6 and 1.8 GeV. In comparison to previous measurements the accuracy of the data was improved substantially. For the first time in neutral pion photoproduction a cusp structure at the η-threshold has been confirmed [1].

Neutron-Proton Forward Angle Elastic Cross-Sections at 790-MeV

Inspire Record 136558 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.20861

High-statistics measurements of the absolute differential cross section for n−p scattering have been made over neutron c.m.-system scattering angles 9.5°<θ*<64.5°. The statistical error is 1.7 to 3.3% for 2°-wide angular bins, and the systematic error is 2.7 to 3.3%. The cross section is fitted by dσdΩ*=A exp(bt), with A=10.27±0.36 mb/sr, b=5.00±0.05, and 0.01<−t<0.39 (GeV/c)2. For the ratio of the real to the imaginary part of the forward-scattering amplitude we obtained αn>~−0.43±0.04, consistent with other less precise determinations of αn.

Phys.Rev.D 18 (1978) 3061, 1978.
Inspire Record 6591 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.24324

We present measurements of the differential and polarization cross sections for the reactions KL0p→Ks0p, Λπ+, Σ0π+, and Λπ+π0 made in a hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to a beam of KL0 with incident momentum 550±35 MeV/c. The quasielastic data imposes additional constraints on the partial-wave analyses of the KN and K¯N systems. Our data show no strong energy-dependent effects in the region of the reported Σ(1580), JP=32− state. The phase of the forward regeneration amplitude was found to be about - 160° independent of KL0 momentum.

p-He4 elastic scattering has been measured at 1.05-GeV incident proton energy, close to 180° in the center of mass. The steep backward peak observed at lower energies is still present, but its slope appears to decrease.
