We report on a study of inclusive particle production in pp-interactions at 400 GeV/c. The data are based on 472 K reconstructed events recorded in the NA 27 experiment using the LEBC-EHS facility at CERN. The production cross sections are determined of pseudo scalar (π±,0, η andK±), scalar (f0(975)), vector (ρ±,0(770), ω(783), ϕ(1020),K*0(892), and\(\bar K^{ * 0} \)(892)), and tensorf0 mesons, of protons and antiprotons, and theΔ++,+,0(1232), and Λ(1520) baryon resonances in the forward hemisphere of the center of mass system, as well as longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions. The results are compared with predictions of the FRITIOF model and with other experimental data.

Measurements are presented of inclusive distributions in pp and p p interactions at √ s = 53 GeV. The data were obtained at the CERN ISR using the Split Field Magnet spectrometer with a minimum bias trigger. Production of ϱ 0 , K ∗0 , K ∗0 , and φ have been measured in proton-proton collisions at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings (ISR) at low p T in the central region. The transverse mass spectra are well described by exp (− aμ T ), with a = −6.4±0.2 GeV −1 . The cross sections for d σ/ d y| y=0 are 6.5±0.8±1.2 mb for ϱ 0 , 1.9±0.3±0.3 mb for K ∗) , 1.9±03±03 mb for K ∗0 , and 60.±0.12±0.13 mb for φ , where the first error is statistical and the second is sytematic.

Inclusive production of ϱ0,f, andg0 mesons and ofKs0,K*0 (892), ϕ andK*0(1430)mesons has been measured at <y>∼2.6 and <pT>∼1.1 GeV/c in proton-proton interactions at\(\sqrt s= 52.5\) GeV. The negative particle from the two-body decays of these resonances were identified by a threshold Cerenkov counter and used for triggering. Starting from the measured differential cross section, total inclusive cross sections for the vector and tensor mesons were determined using various parametrizations for they andpT dependence of the differential cross section. The experimental results are discussed in the framework of production models based on the parton picture. The strangeness suppresion factor λ=(0.30±0.10) due toSU(3) symmetry breaking of the quark sea is derived.

At the CERN intersecting storage ring the inclusive differential cross section [dσdσ]y=1 has been measured for f0, g0, K*0(1420), and K¯*0(1420) production: We obtain 0.58±0.05 mb, 0.09±0.05 mb, 38±15 μb, and 26±13 μb, respectively. The corresponding total inclusive cross sections are estimated to be 2.62±0.26 mb, 0.40±0.22 mb, 154±60 μb, and 107±52 μb, respectively. The magnitude of the K* cross section implies a cross section of approximately 5 μb for production of a charmed DD¯ pair.

We present the inclusive and semi-inclusive production of protons, π+, π−, for the full range of kinematic variables, from 7850 inelastic interactions obtained in the 4.7 m liquid-hydrogen bubble chamber Mirabelle at the Serpukhov accelerator and with an incident proton beam of 69 GeV/c. We compare the data with those at other energies, and we give the results of different phenomenological fits.
