Production of the F meson by e + e − annihilation at high energies has been obsrved in the ϕπ final state with a mass of 1.975 ± 0.009 ± 0.010 GeV and a width consistent with the mass resolution. The yield of F production times branching ratio relative to μ pair production is R F ( x ⩾ 0.3) B (F ± → ϕπ ± ) = 0.061 ± 0.012 ± 0.018.

We present evidence for the production of Ξ· − , Ξ − in e + e − annihilation into hadrons. Our measurements yields: 0.026 ± 0.008 (stat.) ± 0.009 (syst.) Ξ − , Ξ − per hadronic event at W ∼ 34 GeV. Using our previous measurements of Λ, Λ and p, p production we obtain the relative yields (Ξ − , Ξ − /(Λ, Λ = 0.087 ± 0.03 ( stat. ) ± 0.03 ( syst. ) and (Ξ − , Ξ − /( p , p = 0.033 ± 0.011 ( stat. ) ± 0.011 ( syst. ) .

Total cross sections for reactions e + e − → π + π − π 0 , π + π − π 0 , 2 π + 2 π − π 0 , 2 π + 2 π − 2 π 0 , 3 π + 3 π − have been measured in the total c.m. energy range 1.42–2.20 GeV. Partial R = σ had / σ σ + μ − values for two and four produced charged pions, and cross sections for positive and negative G -parity states are also reported.

Inspire Record 118873 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27568

We have measured the production cross section for K s 0 in e + e − annihilation from 3.6 to 5.0 GeV center of mass energy. A substantial increase of the K s 0 yield is observed around 4 GeV in qualitative agreement with the charm hypothesis.

Using the solenoidal magnetic detector PLUTO, we have measured the total cross section for e + e − annihilation into hadrons. Results are presented for center of mass energies between 3.6 and 4.8 GeV, and in the regions of the J ψ (3.1) and ψ(3.7) resonances. We also present results for the 2 prong cross section in the energy range 3.6 to 4.8 GeV.

DECAY OF B MESONS INTO CHARGED AND NEUTRAL KAONS

Data on inclusive kaon production in e+e− annihilations at energies in the vicinity of the ϒ(4S) resonance are presented. A clear excess of kaons is observed on the ϒ(4S) compared to the continuum. Under the assumption that the ϒ(4S) decays into BB¯, a total of 3.38±0.34±0.68 kaons per ϒ(4S) decay is found. In the context of the standard B-decay model this leads to a value for (b→c)(b→all) of 1.09±0.33±0.13.

Search for Narrow Resonances in e+ e- Annihilation Into Hadrons in the Mass Regions 1910-MeV-2545-MeV and 2970-MeV-3090-MeV

Inspire Record 100016 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27776

We have searched for possible narrow resonances produced in e + e − annihilation at Adone, in the mass regions 1910–2545 MeV and 2970–3090 MeV. No evidence has been found for narrow resonances, within the sensitivity of the present work: we deduce an upper limit on the energy integrated resonant cross section of about 10% of the J/ψ(3100) corresponding value.

First Observation of $\gamma \gamma \to \omega \rho^0$

Phys.Lett.B 196 (1987) 101, 1987.
Inspire Record 247567 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.30104

The reaction γγ → 2 π + 2 π − π 0 has been studied using the the ARGUS detector at the e + e − storage ring DORIS II at DESY. The production of the vector-meson pair ωϱ 0 is observed for the first time. The cross section for γγ → ωϱ 0 and the topological cross section for γγ → 2 π + 2 π − π 0 are given. The angular distribution in ωϱ 0 events do not indicate any specific dominant spin-parity; they are consistent with isotropic production and decay of the ω and ϱ 0 mesons over the available W γγ range.

Measurement of the Spin Density Matrix of $D^*$ Mesons Produced in $e^+ e^-$ Annihilations

The HRS collaboration Abachi, S. ; Akerlof, C. ; Baringer, P. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 199 (1987) 585-590, 1987.
Inspire Record 250823 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.30012

Vector mesons produced in the reaction e + e − →V+X at √ s =29 GeV were isolated by observing D ∗ mesons through the D ∗+ → D 0 π + decay. The D 0 decay modes used are D 0 →K3 π , K π , K π , and K π ( π 0 ). The data, which correspond to an integrated luminosity of 300 pb −1 , were collected by the High Resolution Spectrometer at PEP. Spin density matrix elements for the D ∗ meson are measured as a function of the energy sharing variable Z D ∗ . There is no evidence for alignment of D ∗ mesons produced in e + e − annihilation at our energy.
