Measurement of phi meson parameters with CMD-2 detector at VEPP-2M collider

Akhmetshin, R.R. ; Aksenov, G.A. ; Anashkin, E.V. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 364 (1995) 199-206, 1995.
Inspire Record 406880 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.28437

Results of the measurement of the φ meson parameters with the general purpose detector CMD-2 at the upgraded e + e − collider VEPP-2M at Novosibirsk are presented. This is the first measurement of the four major φ decay modes in a single e + e − experiment. The results based on about 55,600 identified hadronic events are consistent with previous measurements, and have precision comparable to the current world average.

Polarization observables in pi d (polarized) elastic scattering: Analyzing powers tau (22) and iT (11) in the forward hemisphere

Wessler, M. ; Boschitz, E. ; Brinkmoeller, B. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.C 51 (1995) 2575-2583, 1995.
Inspire Record 405002 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.25896

The vector analyzing power iT11 and the composite observable τ22=T22+T20/ √6 were measured at 10 incident pion energies between 100 and 294 MeV, in an angular range between 50° and 120°. Two different techniques were applied, the detection of the pion with a magnet spectrometer, and the πd coincidence method with scintillation counters. In the case of the first technique also two different target materials were used. Consistency among all data was obtained. The experimental data are compared to Faddeev calculations from one of us (H.G.). The discrepancies between theory and experiment are discussed, and an outlook for further research is given.

Measurement of the spin rotation parameter A+ in the elastic scattering of positive pions on a longitudinally polarized proton target in the second resonance region

The ITEP-PNPI collaboration Alekseev, I.G. ; Bobchenko, B.M. ; Budkovsky, P.E. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 351 (1995) 585-590, 1995.
Inspire Record 403317 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.28540

The ITEP-PNPI collaboration presents the first results of the spin rotation parameter A + measurements in the second resonance region. The experiment was performed at the ITEP accelerator at a positive pion beam momentum 1.43 GeV/c for scattering angles θ cm = 127° and 133°. The setup was based on a polarized proton target and a carbon-plate polarimeter. The obtained data is compared with the predictions of the existing partial-wave analyses.

Si-28 (S-32) fragmentation at 3.7-A/GeV, 14.6-A/GeV and 200-A/GeV

Z.Phys.A 351 (1995) 311-316, 1995.
Inspire Record 407109 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.16506

The fragmentation topology of28Si at 3.7A GeV and 14.6A GeV and32S at 200A GeV in reactions with emulsion nuclei is presented. The fragmentation cross sections are very similar at all three energies. A statistical percolation model can qualitatively describe the data forZ≥ 6. The He production is underestimated and the 3 ≤Z ≤ 5 fragments overestimated by this model.

Production of charged particles, K0(s), K+-, p and Lambda in Z --> b anti-b events and in the decay of b hadrons

The DELPHI collaboration Abreu, P. ; Adam, W. ; Adye, T. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 347 (1995) 447-466, 1995.
Inspire Record 392257 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.48180

A sample of events enriched in bb̄ quark pairs was selected in the data recorded by the DELPHI experiment at LEP during 1992 and 1993, by the presence of secondary decay vertices from short-lived particles. Using this sample, the average multiplicities of K s 0 , K ± , p(p̄), Λ( Λ ) and of charged particles in bb̄ events have been measured, distinguishing the component from fragmentation and the component coming from the decay of b-hadrons. The measurement of the average charge multiplicity in bb̄ events was used to compute the mean fractional beam energy carried by the primary b-hadron, and the difference in charged particle multiplicity between bb̄ events and light quark (uū, dd̄, ss̄) events.

Measurement of multiplicity and momentum spectra in the current fragmentation region of the Breit frame at HERA

The ZEUS collaboration Derrick, M. ; Krakauer, D. ; Magill, S. ; et al.
Z.Phys.C 67 (1995) 93-108, 1995.
Inspire Record 392386 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.45051

Charged particle production has been measured in Deep Inelastic Scattering (DIS) events using the ZEUS detector over a large range of $Q~2$ from 10 to $1280 {\rm\ GeV}~2$. The evolution with $Q$ of the charged multiplicity and scaled momentum has been investigated in the current fragmentation region of the Breit frame. The data are used to study QCD \linebreak coherence effects in DIS and are compared with corresponding \eedata in order to test the universality of quark fragmentation.

Measurement of energetic single photon production at LEP

The L3 collaboration Acciarri, M. ; Adam, A. ; Adriani, O. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 346 (1995) 190-198, 1995.
Inspire Record 382382 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.48260

We describe the sample of energetic single-photon events ( E γ > 15 GeV) collected by L3 in the 1991–1993 LEP runs. The event distributions agree with expectations from the Standard Model. The data are used to constrain the ZZ γ coupling and to set an upper limit of 4.1 × 10 −6 , μ B (90% C.L.) on the the magnetic moment of the τ neutrino.
