Data are presented for the reaction ep → ep π 0 at a nominal momentum transfer squared of 1.0 (GeV/ c ) 2 . The data were obtained using an extracted electron beam from NINA and two magnetic spectrometers for coincidence detection of the electron and proton. Experimental Results on $J/\psi$ Production by $\pi^\pm$, $K^\pm$, $p$ and $\bar{p}$ Incident on Hydrogen at 39.5-{GeV}/$c$

Corden, M.J. ; Dowell, J.D. ; Garvey, J. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 98 (1981) 220-224, 1981.
Inspire Record 155716 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.5488

J/ ψ production at 40 GeV/ c by π ± , K ± , p and p incident on hydrogen has been studied and results compared with those obtained on tungsten in the same experiment. On hydrogen, J/ψ cross-section ratios relative to π − have been measured to be (for x F > 0) σ(π − ) : σ(π + ) : σ( p ) : σ( p ) = 1 : (0.78 ± 0.09) : (0.83 ± 0.35) : (0.07 ± 0.04) . The suppression of the proton induced cross sections shows the importance of calence quark-antiquark fusiin J/ψ production at this energy (i.e. M J 2 / ψ / s =0.13).

Nucleon Structure Functions From Measurements of Inelastic Neutrino and Anti-neutrino Interactions

Heagy, S.M. ; Benvenuti, A. ; Cline, D. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 23 (1981) 1045, 1981.
Inspire Record 9806 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.24163

This paper presents the final results on charged-current neutrino and antineutrino interactions with nuclei from experiment E-310 at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The data sample, consisting of 21 578 neutrino-induced and 7358 antineutrino-induced events within the fiducial region in the energy range 20<E<325 GeV, is exhibited first to demonstrate the basic properties and kinematic regions represented. The dependence of the nucleon structure functions on the dimensionless variable x and on neutrino energy is then described. Lastly, the variations of the structure functions with x and Q2 are presented. The emphasis throughout has been to understand the effects on the final results of uncertainties in the systematic corrections required by the data. Comparisons with the results of other neutrino experiments are made.

Exclusive Reactions in $\bar{p} p$ Interactions at 32-{GeV}/$c$

The French-Soviet & CERN-Soviet collaborations Jabiol, M.A. ; Denegri, D. ; Louedec, C. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 183 (1981) 330-348, 1981.
Inspire Record 155103 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34313

The cross sections of several exclusive reactions in p p interactions are given. In the channels p p → p p π + π − and p p → p p 2π + 2π − which dominate the interactions, the single and double diffractive dissociations are analysed and compared to the results obtained with K ± p interactions at the same energy, pp and p p interactions at other energies. The test of factorization at the p → p π + π − vertex is well verified. The process p p → Δ ++ Δ ++ is studied and the cross sections of Δ ++ , Δ ++ , ϱ 0 and f 0 production are also given.

Differential cross sections and polarizations are presented for the reactions K − p → Λπ 0 , Λη , Λη ′ at 8.25 GeV/ c incident K − momentum. The data, which come from a high statistics experiment in the CERN 2 m bubble chamber, are compared with previous experimental results on the same reactions and with current theoretical ideas.

Phys.Lett.B 99 (1981) 169-173, 1981.
Inspire Record 155275 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27126

The resonance parameters of the ϒ′(10.01) were measured using the LENA detector at the DORIS e + e − storage ring. We obtained a mass of M ( ϒ ′) = (10 013.6 ± 1.2 ± 10.0) MeV and an electronic width of Γ ee ( ϒ ′) = (0.53 ± 0.07 −0.05 +0.09 keV. The upper limit set to the μ-pair branching ratio is 3.8% which implies a lower limit on the total ϒ′ width of 14 keV. Together with out previous measurement of the ϒ parameters we obtain a mass difference M(ϒ′) − M(ϒ) = (552.0 ± 1.3 ± 10.0) MeV and Γ ee (ϒ′) Γ ee (ϒ) = 0.43 ± 0.07 −0.00 +0.05 .

Quark Jets from Antineutrino Interactions II: Inclusive Particle Spectra and Multiplicities in the Quark Jets

Ammosov, V.V. ; Denisov, A.G. ; Gapienko, G.S. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 203 (1982) 1-15, 1982.
Inspire Record 156746 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.41254

We present results on inclusive particle production in the antineutrino charged current induced hadron jets observed in the Fermilab 15 ft bubble chamber. Fractional energy distributions, particle ratios and average multiplicities of the hadrons in the jets are measured. Ratios between the inclusive production rates of different mesons in the jets are studied to seek evidence for the d-quark origin of the observed hadrons. Good over-all agreement with the hypothesis of d-quark fragmentation with universal fragmentation functions obeying isospin systematics is established.

Measurements of the Total Cross-sections of $\Sigma^-$ and $\Xi^-$ on Protons and Deuterons Between 74-{GeV}/$c$ and 137-{GeV}/$c$

Biagi, S.F. ; Bourquin, M. ; Britten, A.J. ; et al.

Inspire Record 155257 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.7853

The Σ − p and Σ − d total cross sections have been measured to a statistical accuracy of ±1% and ±0.5%, respectively, at five momenta from 74.5 to 136.9 GeV/ c , using the hyperon beam at the CERN SPS. The Ξ − p and Ξ − d total cross sections have also been measured to the same statistical accuracy at 101.5 and 133.8 GeV/ c . The systematic uncertainty at each momentum is estimated to be of the order of ±0.5%. The hyperon-nucleon cross sections are shown to be rising with energy, and the data are compared with various phenomenological models.
