The reaction γ+p→π++n has been investigated for photon energies between 1.2 and 3 GeV and pion c.m. angles from 2.5 to 15°. The cross section is strongly peaked in the forward direction and shows resonance structure in the region of the N32*(1920) and N12*(2190).

A Study of K- n Interactions in the Center-Of-Mass Energy Range from 1.60-GeV to 1.75-GeV

Nucl.Phys.B 115 (1976) 82-113, 1976.
Inspire Record 113914 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.8493

We present results of a K − d experiment performed with the 81 cm Saclay deuterium bubble chamber which was exposed to a K − beam at 4 momenta between 680 and 840 MeV/ c at the CERN PS. Cross sections were measured for inelastic two- and three-body K − n reactions on the basis of 5200 events/mb. Resonance production in the three-body reactions is discussed. In addition, differential cross sections and polarisations are presented for inelastic two-body reactions.

A STUDY OF THE REACTIONS ANTI-K0 P ---> LAMBDA PI+ (BACKWARD) AND ANTI-K0 P ---> SIGMA0 PI+ (BACKWARD) FOR KAON MOMENTA BETWEEN 1 AND 8-GEV/C

Inspire Record 159454 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34465

We present results for the reactions K 0 p →Λπ + and K 0 p →∑ 0 π + , for |u'| <0. 05 ( GeV /c) 2 and kaon momenta between 1 and 8 GeV/ c . The experiment was performed ina neutral beam at the PS with a two arm spark chamber spectrometer. The cross sections show strong dependence on beam energy and momentum transfer u ′. Λ polarization is compatible with zero. We compare energy dependence of the backward cross sections with the baryon exchange model from π N scattering.

PHOTOPRODUCTION OF CHARGED PIONS FROM DEUTERIUM AT GAMMA ENERGIES FROM 900-MEV TO 1800-MEV AND PION ANGLES BETWEEN 65-DEGREES AND 125-DEGREES

Z.Phys.C 16 (1982) 1-6, 1982.
Inspire Record 184969 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.16386

π−-photoproduction cross sections from neutrons have been measured with a deuterium target at effective γ-energies from 900 to 1,800 MeV and pion centre-of-mass angles 65 to 125°. The outgoing pion and proton were detected in coincidence, the pion with a magnetic spectrometer and the proton with a time-of-flight system. To test the reliability of the analysis method, a comparison of π+-photoproduction from protons and deuterons was made with a slightly modified apparatus. It was found adequate to use the spectator model with a Huthèn wave function.

ELECTROPRODUCTION OF pi0 MESONS ON PROTONS AT W = 1400-MeV TO 2000-MeV, q**2 = 0.01-GeV**2 TO 0.1-GeV**2, AND t = 0.6-GeV**2 TO 2.2-GeV**2 CORRESPONDING TO Theta (CM) pi = 145-degrees TO 180-degrees

The electroproduction of π0-mesons on protons has been measured with electrons of 1.7 and 2.1 GeV energy in the region of the nucleon resonances at\(W = \sqrt {(q + p)^2 }= 1,400 - 2,000MeV\) at rather low values of |q2|=|(e−e′)2|=0.01–0.1 GeV2 but at high values of the nucleon recoil |t|=|(p−p′)2|≈0.6–2.2 GeV2 corresponding to\(\Theta _\pi ^{cm}\approx 145^ \circ- 180^ \circ\). Up toW≈1,650 MeV the cross section for π0-production with virtual photons of |q2|≈0.03 GeV2 is only slightly smaller than that with real photons. ForW≳1,700 MeV the cross section at |q2|≈0.03 GeV2 is on average a factor of 2 smaller than that atq2=0 but only slightly higher than that at |q2|≈0.3–1 GeV2.
