Inclusive cross sections and one-particle inclusive spectra are given for neutral K, Λ and Λ produced in K − p and K + p interactions at 32 GeV/ c in the 4.5 m Mirabelle hydrogen bubble chamber at the Serpukhov accelerator. Cross sections for associated production are also given, and the energy dependences of the cross sections and of the x distributions in the central and in the fragmentation regions are discussed.

Nucl.Phys.B 98 (1975) 418-428, 1975.
Inspire Record 99415 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.31900

The inclusive production of Σ + (1385), Σ − (1385), Λ (1405) and Λ (1523) in K − p interactions at 14.3 GeV/ c is studied. Cross sections are presented and the x dependence of the invariant cross sections is discussed. The density matrices for production of the spin- 3 2 resonances at small momentum transfer to the target are consistent with spin-0 exchange.

Spin-Parity Analysis of Diffractive n --> p pi- and the Question of a Parity-Change Rule

A spin-parity analysis is performed of the low-mass (≤ 1.75 GeV/c2) pπ− system in diffractive np→(pπ−)p using new data at 13 GeV/c and 20 GeV/c. In the context of a Deck-plus-resonances model a good fit to the pπ− angular moments is found only if the Gribov-Morrison parity-change rule does not hold and spin states up to j=52 are included. In particular the presence of a considerable fraction of spin-parity ½− state is indicated.

Study of the Reaction $pp \to \Delta^{++} (1236) + X^0$ at 205 GeV/c

We have studied inclusive Δ++(1236) production for |tpΔ|<1.0 (GeV/c)2 in a 50 000 picture exposure of the 30-inch hydrogen bubble chamber to a 205 GeV/c proton beam. The inclusive Δ++ cross section for one hemisphere in the center-of-mass system is (1.30±0.14) mb. The mean charged multiplicity of the system recoiling off the Δ++ is in agreement with that for laboratory π−p interactions at the same energy in the center-of-mass frame. The inclusive Δ++ production is compared to inclusive Λ0 and proton production in the same experiment. The connection between Δ++ production and diffraction is discussed. We find that not all Δ++ come from the decay of a diffractively-produced state. The PT2 distribution for the Δ++ has a slope of (10.5±0.9) (GeV/c)−2 for PT2≲0.2 (GeV/c)2. This slope, together with the decay angular distribution of the Δ++ at small momentum transfer, suggests a strong pion-exchange contribution to the inclusive process. We compare the data to the expectation of a triple-Regge model with ρ- and π-exchange contributions.

K- p Cross-Sections Between 1.1-GeV/c and 1.4-GeV/c

Griselin, J. ; Givernaud, A. ; Barloutaud, R. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 93 (1975) 189-216, 1975.
Inspire Record 99412 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.6708

K − p reactions have been studied at 13 different incident momenta between 1138 and 1434 MeV/ c . This interval corresponds to a mass of the K − p system varying from 1858 to 1993 MeV. About 300 000 photographs were taken in the 81 cm Saclay hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to a separated K − beam at the CERN proton-synchrotron. A total of about 44 000 events were analyzed, from which partial and differential cross sections were determined. Polarizations were obtained for the two-body reactions where the decay of the Λ or Σ hyperon allowed their measurement. Data for the two-body channels are presented here as well as for the main quasi-two-body reactions.

Backward pi- d Elastic Scattering from 496-MeV?c to 1050-MeV/c

Keller, R. ; Crabb, D.G. ; O'Fallon, J.R. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 11 (1975) 2389-2399, 1975.
Inspire Record 103079 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.26861

Measurements of the differential cross sections for π−d elastic scattering in the backward angular region are presented. These measurements were made at thirteen incident-pion momenta ranging from 496 to 1050 MeV/c, over the center-of-mass angular range 148° to 177°. The experiment was performed at the LBL Bevatron. Experimental apparatus consisted of a liquid deuterium target and a double-arm spectrometer which included scintillation-counter hodoscopes. Center-of-mass differential cross sections were found to be generally smooth over the angular range covered and can be fitted with low-order polynomials. The extrapolated differential cross sections at 180° scattering angle were found to decrease rapidly with increasing momentum, with a prominent peak near 700 MeV/c and a shoulder near 900 MeV/c. These data are discussed in terms of existing models employing "d*" structures, and are compared with other similar measurements.
