Antiproton-proton elastic scattering has been measured at 3.55 GeV/ c in the c.m. angular range from 20° to 77° and from 109° to 160°. Forward elastic scattering shows a structure near t = −0.5 (GeV/ c ) 2 . In the backward region two events are observed.

We have measured the e + e − → φ reaction by the K S 0 K L 0 and 3 π decay modes of the φ. We have deduced Γ ( φ → all), Γ ( φ →e + e − ), as well as B ( φ →K S 0 K L 0 ), B ( φ →K + K − ) and B ( φ → π + π − π 0 ).

The external beam of the 2.5 GeV-electron-synchrotron has been used to measre elastic electron proton scattering at four-momentum-transfers between 15 and 50 fm<sup loc="post">−2</sup>. By combining these results with measurements at small angles at DESY, we have obtained the electric and magnetic form factors separately. Their ratio shows a deviation from the scaling law.

Total neutron cross-sections were determined for He, Li, Be, C, Al, Fe, Cu and Pb at an average neutron momentum of 10 GeV/ c . The results agree very well with total proton-neuclei cross-sections at 20 GeV/ c . The interaction radii inferred from the cross-sections are in remarkable agreement with the half-density radii as obtained from electron scattering.

The production of N ∗ (1400) isobar in the reaction pp → pN ∗+ (1400), where N ∗ (1400) → n π + and p π 0 , is investigated with the aid of one-pion exchange model. The one-pion exchange mechanism does not seem to dominate the production process. The isospin of N ∗ (1400) is found to be I = 1 2 , and the elasticity of the resonance is estimated to be 0.66.

The polarization parameter in elastic π−p scattering has been measured, at the Berkeley 184-in. synchrocyclotron, with the use of a polarized proton target. At 318-, 337-, and 390-MeV incident pion kinetic energy, the angular range from 70° to 180° in the center-of-mass system was covered. At 229 MeV, polarization measurements were made in the angular range 150° to 180°. Phase-shift analyses, using these and other published data, were made at the two lowest energies.
