$\pi^+$-proton interactions at 500 MeV incident energy

Nucl.Phys. 63 (1965) 273-285, 1965.
Inspire Record 1400917 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.37098

We present results on $\pi^+$-p interactions at 500 MeV from an experiment performed with the Saclay 35 cm hydrogen bubble chamber. A total of 1840 events have been observed. The branching ratio for elastic events is equal to 0.883$\pm$0.008. Eight events are unambiguously attributed to the reaction $\pi^+p\to\pi^+p\gamma$. Cross sections for the various reactions are given. The elastic angular distribution has been determined up to cos$\theta$ = +0.975 and shows evidence for S, P, D waves in good agreement with the results obtained in other experiments. For the one-pion production reactions, the ratio of $\pi^0$ production to $\pi^+$ production is found equal to 4.1$\pm$0.8. This result and the corresponding distributions for momentum and angle of the secondaries are compared with the predictions of the isobaric models.

$\pi^+ p$ interactions at 850 MeV/c

Nucl.Phys.B 5 (1968) 147-157, 1968.
Inspire Record 1400916 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.32747

Experimental results are presented on $\pi^+ p$ interactions at 850 MeV/c incident momentum. Cross sections for the various reactions are given. The elastic differential cross section has been fitted to a polynomial in, cos$\theta$ and the resulting coefficients are compared to results at neighbouring incident momenta. For the one-pion-production reactions, the (N$\pi$) effective mass distributions and the ratio of $\pi^0$ to $\pi^+$ production have been compared to the predictions of several theoretical models.

A new high precision measurement of the reaction pp -> pK+Lambda at a beam momentum of 2.95 GeV/c with more than 200,000 analyzed events allows a detailed analysis of differential observables and their inter-dependencies. Correlations of the angular distributions with momenta are examined. The invariant mass distributions are compared for different regions in the Dalitz plots. The cusp structure at the N Sigma threshold is described with the Flatt\'e formalism and its variation in the Dalitz plot is analyzed.

Coincidence electroproduction of single neutral pions in the resonance region at q 2 = 0.5 (GeV/ c ) 2

Nucl.Phys.B 156 (1979) 58-92, 1979.
Inspire Record 1392686 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.836

Data are presented for the reaction ep → ep π 0 at a nominal four-momentum transfer squared of 0.5 (GeV/ c ) 2 . The data were obtained using an extracted electron beam from NINA and two magnetic spectrometers for coincidence detection of the electron and proton. Details are given of the experimental method and the results are given for isobar masses in the range 1.19 – 1.73 GeV/ c 2 .

Proton-deuterium bremsstrahlung at 200 MeV

Double differential cross sections for photons above 20 MeV energy were measured for the p+d reaction at 200 MeV. A comparison is made with previous measurements at 140 and 197 MeV. Below 80 MeV photon energy the cross sections and the angular distribution are in reasonable agreement with a recent calculation of the free pnγ elementary process.

Differential cross section for elastic n+d scattering and n+d break-up quasi free-scattering at 67 MeV

Balewski, J. ; Bodek, K. ; Jarczyk, L. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.A 581 (1995) 131-144, 1995.
Inspire Record 1389771 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.36531

The differential cross sections for the n+d elastic scattering and for the 2H(n,np)n break-up reaction in the np quasi-free scattering configuration was measured at 67 MeV. The experimental data are compared with results of the calculations based on a rigorous solution of the three-nucleon Faddeev equations using meson-exchange potentials. Good agreement is found between experiment and theory for the n+d elastic-scattering cross section while in the case of np quasi-free scattering the theoretical predictions overestimate the data at neutron angles larger than 40° by about 30%.
