Cross sections for associated production are also given, and the energy dependences of the cross sections and of the x distributions in the central and in the fragmentation regions are discussed.

Neutron Total Cross-Sections on Nuclei at Fermilab Energies

Ramana Murthy, P.V. ; Ayre, Cyril A. ; Gustafson, H.Richard ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 92 (1975) 269-308, 1975.
Inspire Record 2076 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.32056

We have measured total cross sections for neutrons on protons, deuteriom, beryllium, carbon, aluminium, iron, copper, cadmium, tungsten, lead, and uranium for momenta between 30 and 300 GeV/ c . The measurements were carried out in a small-angle neutral beam at Fermilab. Typical accuracy of the data is 0.5 to 1%. The cross sections are consistent with an A 0.77±0.01 dependence over the entire momentum range. The cross sections are compared with theoretical predictions. Agreement is found only if inelastic screening is included. Nuclear radii obtained from our data are in good agreement with previous determinations.

Inclusive Production of Y* Resonances in K- p Interactions at 14.3-GeV/c

Bardadin-Otwinowska, M. ; Barloutaud, R. ; Borg, A. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 98 (1975) 418-428, 1975.
Inspire Record 99415 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.31900

The inclusive production of Σ + (1385), Σ − (1385), Λ (1405) and Λ (1523) in K − p interactions at 14.3 GeV/ c is studied. Cross sections are presented and the x dependence of the invariant cross sections is discussed. The density matrices for production of the spin- 3 2 resonances at small momentum transfer to the target are consistent with spin-0 exchange.

Phys.Lett.B 56 (1975) 408-412, 1975.
Inspire Record 98876 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27859

The reaction γ + p → Φ + p has been measured using a spark chamber spectrometer and a tagged photon beam in the energy range from 4.6 to 6.7 GeV. Approximately 3500 photoproduced elastic Φ-events have been collected in the t -range between t min and t = −0.4 (GeV/ c ) 2 . Cross sections and t -distributions are presented.

Production of gamma rays in K- p and K+ p Interactions at 32-GeV/c

The French-Soviet & CERN-Soviet collaborations Beilliere, P. ; Cochet, Christian ; Dumont, J J ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 91 (1975) 219-231, 1975.
Inspire Record 2852 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.6709

Inclusive cross sections and longitudinal momentum distributions are presented for γ rays produced in K − p and K + p interactions at 32 GeV/c in the 4.5 m Mirabelle hydrogen bubble chamber at the Serpukhov accelerator. The average longitudinal and transverse momentum of neutral pions and the average π 0 multiplicity ▪ 〈 n π 0〉 are estimated. It is found that 〈 n π 0〉 is an increasing function of the number of charged prongs.

New Data on K- p --> omega Lambda and a Partial Wave Analysis Between the CM Energies 1915-MeV and 2168-MeV

Nakkasyan, A. ;
Nucl.Phys.B 93 (1975) 85-108, 1975.
Inspire Record 98899 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.32004

Cross sections of the reaction K − p → π + π − π 0 Λ are determined in a bubble chamber study at 10 incoming beam momenta between 1.425 GeV/ c and 1.800 GeV/ c . For the subsample K − p → ωΛ , cross sections and angular distributions are presented together with their Legendre polynomial expansions and those of the single and joint density matrix elements. An energy dependent partial-wave analysis is performed including earlier data. The data is well fitted by constant background amplitudes in the outgoing S, P and D waves plus two I = 0 resonances in this region, the well established G 7 Λ(2100) and the P 3 Λ(1870).

Nucl.Phys.B 96 (1975) 109-154, 1975.
Inspire Record 99060 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.31972

Differential cross sections have been measured for the interactions p p → π − π + and p p → K − K + over a centre of mass angular range −0.95 ⩽ cos θ ∗ ⩽ 0.95 at 20 incident momenta between 0.79 and 2.43 GeV/ c . A magnetic spectrometer with wire spark chambers was used. Typically 2000 π − π + and 300 K − K + events were obtained at each momentum. Results are compared with those from related experiments.

Study of three quasi-two-body channels from pi + p interactions at 3.9 GeV/c

Haber, B. ; Hodous, M.F. ; Hulsizer, R.I. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 11 (1975) 495-509, 1975.
Inspire Record 107224 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.24871

The pπ+π0 and pπ+π+π− final states from π+p interactions at 3.9 GeV/c have been analyzed by the prism-plot technique and the following three quasi-two-body channels have been studied in detail: π+p→ρ+p, π+p→π0Δ++, and π+p→ρ0Δ++. Results are presented on cross sections, differential cross sections, and single and joint spin density matrix elements. These are compared with the Dar-Watts-Weisskopf absorption model and Reggeized pion-exchange model predictions. Relations among joint spin density matrix elements for ρ0Δ++ are compared with quark-model predictions.
