We have performed a search for the 1P1 state of charmonium resonantly formed in p¯p annihilations, close to the center of gravity of the 3PJ states. We report results from the study of the J/ψ+π0 and J/ψ+2π final states. We have observed a statistically significant enhancement in the p¯+p→J/ψ+π0 cross section at √s ≃3526.2 MeV. This enhancement has the characteristics of a narrow resonance of mass, total width, and production cross section consistent with what is expected for the 1P1 state. In our search we have found no candidates for the reactions p¯+p→J/ψ+π0+π0 and p¯+p→J/ψ+π++π−.

The NA62 experiment collected a large sample of charged kaon decays in 2007 with a highly efficient trigger for decays into electrons. A measurement of the $\pi^0$ electromagnetic transition form factor slope parameter from $1.11\times10^{6}$ fully reconstructed $K^\pm \to \pi^\pm \pi^0_D, \pi^0_D \to e^+ e^-\gamma$ events is reported. The measured value $a = (3.68 \pm 0.57)\times10^{-2}$ is in good agreement with theoretical expectations and previous measurements, and represents the most precise experimental determination of the slope in the time-like momentum transfer region.
Number of reconstructed data events and MC events as a function of the Dalitz kinematic variable $x=(M_{ee}/M_{\pi^0})^2$. The MC events are reweighted to correspond to a TFF slope a=0. The MC sample is not normalized to the size of the data. The values of $x$ quoted in the table are the barycenters of the 50 variable size bins.
Angular correlations between charged trigger and associated particles are measured by the ALICE detector in p-Pb collisions at a nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV for transverse momentum ranges within 0.5 < $p_{\rm T}^{\rm assoc}$ < $p_{\rm T}^{\rm trig}$ < 4 GeV/$c$. The correlations are measured over two units of pseudorapidity and full azimuthal angle in different intervals of event multiplicity, and expressed as associated yield per trigger particle. Two long-range ridge-like structures, one on the near side and one on the away side, are observed when the per-trigger yield obtained in low-multiplicity events is subtracted from the one in high-multiplicity events. The excess on the near-side is qualitatively similar to that recently reported by the CMS collaboration, while the excess on the away-side is reported for the first time. The two-ridge structure projected onto azimuthal angle is quantified with the second and third Fourier coefficients as well as by near-side and away-side yields and widths. The yields on the near side and on the away side are equal within the uncertainties for all studied event multiplicity and $p_{\rm T}$ bins, and the widths show no significant evolution with event multiplicity or $p_{\rm T}$. These findings suggest that the near-side ridge is accompanied by an essentially identical away-side ridge.
The Fourier coefficient V2 for different multiplicity classes and overlapping PT_trig and PT_assoc intervals. Note that all multiplicity classes have the values from the 60-100% multiplicity class subtracted.
The Fourier coefficient V3 for different multiplicity classes and overlapping PT_trig and PT_assoc intervals. Note that all multiplicity classes have the values from the 60-100% multiplicity class subtracted.
The near-side ridge yields per unit pseudorapidiy difference between the trigger and associated particle in regions of differing PT_trig and PT_assoc bins for different multiplicity classes. Note that all multiplicity classes have the values from the 60-100% multiplicity class subtracted.
We report on double-differential inclusive cross-sections of the production of secondary protons, deuterons, and charged pions and kaons, in the interactions with a 5% nuclear interaction length thick stationary beryllium target, of a +8.9 GeV/c proton and pion beam, and a -8.0 GeV/c pion beam. Results are given for secondary particles with production angles between 20 and 125 degrees.

Double differential inclusive cross section for the reaction P BE --> P X with an 8.9 GeV beam and production angle 30 to 40 degrees.

We have studied inclusive KS, Λ, and Λ¯ photoproduction over the ranges 40<Eγ<170 GeV and forward produced mass 2<MF<10 GeV. We observe equal Λ and Λ¯ production rates and spectra as expected in a diffractive process where the target proton remains unaltered. We show that the fraction of hadronic events with a strange particle produced in events with forward mass MF agrees well with the same measurement in e+e− annihilation at a center-of-mass energy Ec.m.=MF. The x=2PMF distributions of these three particles in the forward-mass rest frame are compared with theoretical predictions.

Pairs of τ leptons produced at s=3.77 GeV have been studied in eμ, ee, and μμ final states. The leptonic branching ratios have been measured to be B(τ→eνν)=(18.2±0.7±0.5)% and B(τ→μνν)=(18.0±1.0±0.6)%. Limits have been set for the two-body decays τ→eG and τ→μG, where G is a light Goldstone boson.

The fixed-target MIPP experiment, Fermilab E907, was designed to measure the production of hadrons from the collisions of hadrons of momenta ranging from 5 to 120 GeV/c on a variety of nuclei. These data will generally improve the simulation of particle detectors and predictions of particle beam fluxes at accelerators. The spectrometer momentum resolution is between 3 and 4%, and particle identification is performed for particles ranging between 0.3 and 80 GeV/c using $dE/dx$, time-of-flight and Cherenkov radiation measurements. MIPP collected $1.42 \times10^6$ events of 120 GeV Main Injector protons striking a target used in the NuMI facility at Fermilab. The data have been analyzed and we present here charged pion yields per proton-on-target determined in bins of longitudinal and transverse momentum between 0.5 and 80 GeV/c, with combined statistical and systematic relative uncertainties between 5 and 10%.
The production yields of PI+ and PI- and the ratio of these yields. The first uncertainty given on each value combines statistical uncertainties and systematic uncertainties from backgrounds.

We present measurements of $\pi^-$ and $\pi^+$ elliptic flow, $v_2$, at midrapidity in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\rm NN}}} =$ 200, 62.4, 39, 27, 19.6, 11.5 and 7.7 GeV, as a function of event-by-event charge asymmetry, $A_{ch}$, based on data from the STAR experiment at RHIC. We find that $\pi^-$ ($\pi^+$) elliptic flow linearly increases (decreases) with charge asymmetry for most centrality bins at $\sqrt{s_{_{\rm NN}}} = \text{27 GeV}$ and higher. At $\sqrt{s_{_{\rm NN}}} = \text{200 GeV}$, the slope of the difference of $v_2$ between $\pi^-$ and $\pi^+$ as a function of $A_{ch}$ exhibits a centrality dependence, which is qualitatively similar to calculations that incorporate a chiral magnetic wave effect. Similar centrality dependence is also observed at lower energies.

$v_2$ difference between $\pi^-$ and $\pi^+$ as a function of charge asymmetry with the tracking efficiency correction, for 30-40% central Au+Au collisions at 200 GeV. The errors are statistical only.
