A three-dimensional (3D) correlation function obtained from mid-rapidity, low pT pion pairs in central Au+Au collisions at sqrt(s_NN)=200 GeV is studied. The extracted model-independent source function indicates a long range tail in the directions of the pion pair transverse momentum (out) and the beam (long). Model comparisons to these distensions indicate a proper breakup time \tau_0 ~ 9 fm/c and a mean proper emission duration \Delta\tau ~ 2 fm/c, leading to sizable emission time differences (<|\Delta \tau_LCM |> ~ 12 fm/c), partly due to resonance decays. They also suggest an outside-in 'burning' of the emission source reminiscent of many hydrodynamical models.

We present a measurement of the muon neutrino-nucleon inclusive charged current cross-section, off an isoscalar target, in the neutrino energy range $2.5 \leq E_\nu \leq 40$ GeV. The significance of this measurement is its precision, $\pm 4$% in $2.5 \leq E_\nu \leq 10$ GeV, and $\pm 2.6$% in $10 \leq E_\nu \leq 40$ GeV regions, where significant uncertainties in previous experiments still exist, and its importance to the current and proposed long baseline neutrino oscillation experiments.
Inclusive muon-neutrino charged current cross section.
Using the CLEO-II detector at the CESR $e~+e~-$ storage ring running at the center-of-mass energy around 10.6 GeV, we have studied exclusive production of charmonium states in two-photon collisions. Employing a dataset comprising 3.0 ${\rm fb}~{-1}$ we have searched for decays of the $\eta_c$, $\chi_{c0}$ and $\chi_{c2}$ mesons resulting in four charged hadrons. We report on the measurements of the cross sections and two-photon widths of these charmonium states.
The first two errors quoted are statistical and systematic,respectively. The third one arises from the uncertainties in the branching ratios of charmed mesons.
Using the CLEO-II detector, we have studied the exclusive two-photon production of the light pseudoscalar mesons in a single tagged mode. We report on a preliminary measurement of the $\pi~0$, $\eta$ and $\eta~{\prime}$ electromagnetic form factors in the $Q~2$ region from 2 ${\rm (GeV/c)}~2$ to 20 ${\rm (GeV/c)}~2$.}

Inclusive production ofK0 andK* (892)0 mesons inK+A-interactions (A=Be, Cu, Pb) at the energy 11.2 GeV has been investigated to study hadronisation of the leading\(\bar s\)-quark; the results are presented. Double differential cross sections d2σ/dxfdpt2 were measured in the region of incident particle fragmentation (0.4≦xf≦1,pt≦0.5 GeV/c). The experimental data obtained were analysed on the basis of the Lund model FRITIOF and a quark-gluon model that takes into account colour screening and hadron formation length effects. The experimental data confirm the picture of hadronisation of the leading\(\bar s\)-quark developed in the latter model.

The experimental results are presented for ratios of ν-meson inclusive differential cross sections in 10.5 GeV/ c π + p, π + D and π + A collisions, R D/p =(d σ /d x F )( π + D → η X)/ (d σ /d x F ) π + p→ η X), R A =(d σ /d x F )( π + D→ η X) in the beam fragmentation region. The results are based on the statistics of ≈ 5 × 10 4 detected η → 2 γ decays. It is shown that the power α in the parametrisation R A ≈ A α ( xf ) does not change significantly with x F and its mean value is 0.50±0.02. The lower limit is obtained for the effective coefficient with string tension in the colour string model, κ ⩾ 3 GeV/fm. The observed growth of R A with x F can be explained by an assumption of a neutron halo with the factor H ≈ 4 in the nuclei.
