The reactions K + n → K + π + π − n, K + n → K 0 π + π − p and K + n → K + π − π 0 p have b investigated in a 3.8 event/μb K + d bubble chamber experiment with incident momenta of 2.2, 2.45 and 2.7 GeV/ c . Channel cross sections are given and the general characteristics of the production processes described. The isobar model is used in an attempt to determine the spin-parity structure of the final states.

New measurement of the total cross-section in proton proton scattering in pure spin states

de Boer, W. ; Fernow, Richard C. ; Krisch, A.D. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 34 (1975) 558-559, 1975.
Inspire Record 107097 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.3352

We have remeasured the total cross section for proton-proton scattering at 2-6 GeV/c in the spin states ↑↑ and ↑↓ perpendicular to the beam direction. With the reduced errors significant differences were found between the two cross sections.

Evidence for a New Meson Resonance at 2340-MeV

Baltay, C. ; Cautis, C.V. ; Cohen, Daniel H. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 35 (1975) 891-901, 1975.
Inspire Record 103634 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21130

Evidence is presented for a new meson resonance at 2340±20 MeV, with a width of 180±60 MeV, decaying primarily into ρρπ. The resonance, which is observed in 15-GeV/c π+p interactions, has isotopic spin 1 or 2 and odd G parity. The cross section for production of the ρρπ state is 7.3±1.7 μb. Branching ratios into ρρπ and other decay modes are given.

Coherent K0(S) Regeneration in Hydrogen and Deuterium from 3.5-GeV/c to 10.5-GeV/c

Freytag, D. ; Schultz, C. ; Patel, P. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 35 (1975) 412-416, 1975.
Inspire Record 103337 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21146

The amplitude and phase for coherent regeneration in hydrogen and deuterium have been measured for six momentum bins in the range 3.5-10.5 GeV/c. Over this region the phase, ϕf, is consistent with being constant and has the value - 60°±8° for hydrogen and - 46°±8° for deuterium. Power-law fits of the form plabn for the amplitudes when combined with other data give n=−0.60±0.02 for hydrogen and n=−0.52±0.02 for deuterium.

Search for Narrow Resonances in e+ e- Annihilation in the Mass Region 3.2-GeV to 5.9-GeV

Boyarski, A. ; Breidenbach, Martin ; Bulos, F. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 34 (1975) 762, 1975.
Inspire Record 100594 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21228

We have searched the mass region 3.2 to 5.9 GeV for evidence of narrow resonances in e+e−→hadrons. We find no evidence for any such resonances other than the ψ(3695) in this region with a sensitivity ranging from about 12 to 45% of the integrated cross section of the ψ(3695). The more stringent bounds apply to resonances of a few MeV width, while the looser bounds apply to resonances of up to 20 MeV width.

Total Cross-Section for Hadron Production by electron-Positron Annihilation Between 2.4-GeV and 5.0-GeV Center-Of-Mass Energy

Augustin, J.E. ; Boyarski, A. ; Breidenbach, Martin ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 34 (1975) 764, 1975.
Inspire Record 100592 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21227

The total cross section for hadron production by e+e− annihilation has been measured at center-of-mass energies between 2.4 and 5.0 GeV. Aside from the very narrow resonances ψ(3105) and ψ(3695), the cross section varies between 32 and 17 nb over this region with structure in the vicinity of 4.1 GeV.

Measurement of Differential Cross-Sections for anti-Proton-Proton Annihilation Into Charged Pion and Kaon Pairs Between 0.79-GeV/c and 2.43-GeV/c

Eisenhandler, E. ; Gibson, W.R. ; Hojvat, C. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 96 (1975) 109-154, 1975.
Inspire Record 99060 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.31972

Differential cross sections have been measured for the interactions p p → π − π + and p p → K − K + over a centre of mass angular range −0.95 ⩽ cos θ ∗ ⩽ 0.95 at 20 incident momenta between 0.79 and 2.43 GeV/ c . A magnetic spectrometer with wire spark chambers was used. Typically 2000 π − π + and 300 K − K + events were obtained at each momentum. Results are compared with those from related experiments.

K- p Cross-Sections Between 1.1-GeV/c and 1.4-GeV/c

Griselin, J. ; Givernaud, A. ; Barloutaud, R. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 93 (1975) 189-216, 1975.
Inspire Record 99412 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.6708

K − p reactions have been studied at 13 different incident momenta between 1138 and 1434 MeV/ c . This interval corresponds to a mass of the K − p system varying from 1858 to 1993 MeV. About 300 000 photographs were taken in the 81 cm Saclay hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to a separated K − beam at the CERN proton-synchrotron. A total of about 44 000 events were analyzed, from which partial and differential cross sections were determined. Polarizations were obtained for the two-body reactions where the decay of the Λ or Σ hyperon allowed their measurement. Data for the two-body channels are presented here as well as for the main quasi-two-body reactions.

Search for Charmed Particle Production in 15-GeV/c pi+ p Interactions

Baltay, C. ; Cautis, C.V. ; Cohen, Daniel H. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 34 (1975) 1118, 1975.
Inspire Record 2041 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21924

A search for the production of charmed particles in 15-BeV/c π+p interactions has been carried out. The search was sensitive to charmed particles in the 1.5 to 4.0 BeV mass range, with lifetimes ≲10−11 sec, decaying into a strange particle with up to eight additional pions. No evidence for the production of such particles was found.

Inclusive Production of Y* Resonances in K- p Interactions at 14.3-GeV/c

Bardadin-Otwinowska, M. ; Barloutaud, R. ; Borg, A. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 98 (1975) 418-428, 1975.
Inspire Record 99415 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.31900

The inclusive production of Σ + (1385), Σ − (1385), Λ (1405) and Λ (1523) in K − p interactions at 14.3 GeV/ c is studied. Cross sections are presented and the x dependence of the invariant cross sections is discussed. The density matrices for production of the spin- 3 2 resonances at small momentum transfer to the target are consistent with spin-0 exchange.
